Mother’s are instruments of Christ’s presence in the

home. A mother’s love reveals the attentive, thoughtful,

serving, forgiving and concerned side of God’s love.

Thanks to all mothers for showing us the tender and

loving face of God.

FYI– If you would like to bring up the gifts at Mass. Please see the Priest or the Ushers 15 minutes before Mass.

THEOLOGY ON TAP – Young Adults Do you enjoy a good brew? Are you interested in

spirituality and the deeper questions of life? If so, then we

invite you to join us at Theology on Tap, a monthly speaker

series which will be hosted at the The Colonial located in

Binghamton May 18th at 7pm. TOT is open to young adults

Contact Sarah Chen [email protected]/ (607) 242-1957.

DISCERNMENT GROUP -Just an update for June - our

Southern Tier discernment group continues to go very

well. One of our members is currently applying to the

Diocese and the seminary...

Note: we will not have a discernment group meeting at Ss.

John and Andrew on the first Saturday. Instead, I am

encouraging those thinking about a vocation to the

priesthood to attend the ordination in Syracuse of Deacon

Matthew Lyons to the priesthood. It is a powerful event

and can be a very powerful experience for a young man

considering the call! We will resume our meetings at Ss.

John and Andrew in July.

Please keep sending names of the young men in your

parishes ( altar servers, members of the youth group, etc.)

who you think might have a vocation so I can make contact

with them. This is the most effective way for us to invite

young men to think and pray about it.

When you approach a Priest, or

Eucharistic Minster to receive Communion, the

Church recommends that you either bow

profoundly, genuflect or kneel in order to

receive communion.

NOCTURNAL ADORATION SOCIETY will meet at St.

Patrick Chapel from 7:00 to 8:00 pm May 20, 2017. All

members at same hour.

"FRUIT OF THE VINE - Wine Appreciation 101, with

Winemaker William Ouweleen will be held at St. Ambrose

Church, Endicott, NY on Saturday, May 20, 7-9 pm.

Premium Finger Lakes wines hand crafted by O-Neh-Da

and Eagle Crest Vineyards will be featured. Cost is $5 per

person, must be 21 years of age to attend. For more

information or to purchase tickets, call 607-754-2330."

which is already in and around us.
