My Friends,

Sometimes when you return from

vacation, it seems like you've been

gone forever. Over the past two

weeks, I visited Paris and Strasburg,

France; Cologne, Germany; Lucerne,

Switzerland; and Como, Genoa, Na-

ples, Turin and Rome, Italy, spend-

ing a day or two in each city. Lots of

memorable places with beautiful

architecture and good food:

(especially in Italy: pasta, pizza,

gelato and liters of wine). Each day

was a new adventure. It was a

great experience and a very relaxing

trip; good to be away, but good to

Mis Amigos, A veces, cuando regresas de vaca-ciones, parece que te has ido para siempre. Durante las últimas dos semanas, visité París y Estrasburgo, Francia; Colonia, Alemania; Lucerna, Suiza; y Como, Génova, Nápoles, Tu-rín y Roma, Italia, pasando un día o dos en cada ciudad. Muchos lugares memorables con una hermosa arqui-t e c t u r a y b u e n a c o m i d a : (especialmente en Italia: pasta, piz-za, helado y litros de vino). Cada día era una nueva aventura. Our parish is now collecting new or gently used coats, sweatshirts, hats, sweaters and gloves to help those in need stay warm this win-

ter. Items for men, women & children will be accepted thru November. These donations are given to Wheeler Mission, Salvation Army, and the Ca-thedral Kitchen for distribution.

Please bring your donations to the Parish Office during business hours or to Mass on the weekend. These can be given to the Mass Coordinator or a Hospitality Minister who will put them in the sacristy.

downstairs of the Marian Center: among them sever-

al medium and small stainless-steel bowls, about 8

large steel cooking spoons, knives of various sizes

with white handles. If you borrowed these or acci-

dently took them home, please return them as soon

as possible. Continually replacing these items is

costly.

Safe and Sacred As part of our commitment to the safety of children, the Archdiocese of Indianapolis requires that all volunteers age 18 and older who have contact with children complete a child protection program called Safe and Sacred. It pro-vides on-line training in both English and Spanish and in-cludes a background check and agreement to the Archdio-cese Code of Conduct. The course can be completed in 45 minutes.
