Meet Our New Parochial Vicar Fr. Apolonio (Pol) Catada
Dear Parishioners of St. Joseph Parish and Mission Church of St. Vincent de Paul, my name is Father Apolonio “Pol” Catada, your new Parochial Vicar. It is with great honor to be part of this vibrant parish. This is my 3rd parish assignment since I arrived in the U.S. back in 2018. My first year as Parochi-al Vicar was at St. Joseph Church in Lincoln, CA. I served 3 years as Paro-chial Administrator at St Francis of Assisi in Burney, CA. I have been a priest for 17 years and the majority of these pastoral ministries were spent in the Philippines as a Philippine Navy Chaplain. Upon being ordained in the Military Diocese(Phil.), I served 12 years ministering the spiritual and moral needs of sailors and marines. The seed of priestly vocation started through my religious family back-ground along with encouragement and support from priest-friends. My
priestly formation lasted 10 years in the making, 5 years for Bachelor in Education Major in Phi-losophy, 4 years for Masters in Theology and 1 year for Diaconal program. I was called for Active-Duty right after Ordination and the rest is history.In this uncertain time, I’m here to continue my journey with you hoping that my ministry here will contribute shade, light, inspiration, hope and comfort to us leading towards joy, sanctification and salvation of souls. Parents and godparents must attend baptism preparation class before
scheduling the baptism. Classes are now in person every second Tuesday of the month

Grief Support
St. Josephʹs Grief Support Ministry has offered 7 weekly grief support sessions which began
on Wednesday, July 6 until Wednesday, August 17, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. We are present for those grieving the loss of a loved
one. This ministry takes place in the context of faith and is caring, and compassionate. We will be meeting in the Renwald room. For more in-
