Una nota de agradecimiento del P. Stephan Querida Comunidad de San Jarlath, queridos amigos, Ya ha pasado una semana, y aún sigo en Cloud Nine. Mi corazón sigue rebosante de alegría y profunda gratitud por la celebración del 25º aniversario más increíble que cualquiera podría haber pedido. De la A a la Z las festividades fueron eran magnífica, bonitas, alegres, dignas, acogedoras, comunales y edificantes. ¿Cuántos de ustedes han estado en un estreno mundial de una Composición de una Misa? ¡Mucho menos la Misa de San Jarlath! Fue sin duda una primera para mí; y una experiencia maravillosamente memorable. La música sagrada y edificante, compuesta por el extraordinario Paulo Tirol, interpretada por un fantástico Ministerio de música (coro e instrumentistas) bajo la dirección del Dr. Robin Estrada, el líder extraordinariamente talentoso. La sagrada liturgia, con las flores de mayo y la

coronación de la Santísima Madre, los numerosos con-celebrantes, y la participación activa de tantos feligreses llenos de fe de toda la Diócesis de Oakland, alimentaron mi corazón y alma. Y la recepción ciertamente satisfizo el deseo culinario de todos. Excelente comida, gran vino y otras bebidas, hermosas decoraciones, música

maravillosa (ofrecida por anterior vicedirector de la Escuela de St. Jarlath, Señor. Ávila), y hospitalidad de San Jarlath, todo hizo que el día fuera una verdadera bendición. No puedo agradecerles a todos lo suficiente por la generosidad de corazón y el amor y el afecto que se me han mostrado y el uno al otro ese día. St. Jarlath en su mejor momento. Mi más sincero agradecimiento se dirige a todos ustedes por su gran trabajo y el espíritu acogedor. A Popoy Fulgueras y a Joseph Williams quienes fueron los organizadores de este acontecimiento. A Thank You Note From Fr. Stephan

Dear St. Jarlath Community, dear friends, Over a week has passed by now, and yet I am still on Cloud Nine. My heart is still overflowing with joy and deep gratitude for the most amazing 25th Anniversary Celebration anybody could have ever asked for. From A to Z the festivities were superb, beautiful, joyful, dignified, welcoming, communal, and uplifting. How many of you have been at a world premiere of a newly composed Mass? Let alone the Mass of St. Jarlath! It was certainly a first for me; and what a wonderfully memorable experience. Sacred and uplifting music, composed by the amazing Paulo Tirol, performed by a fantastic music ministry (choir and instrumentalists) under the direction of Dr. Robin Estrada, the outstanding-ly talented leader. The sacred liturgy, with the Flores de Mayo and the Crowning of the Blessed Mother, the many Concelebrants, and the active participation of so many faith-filled parishioners from across the Diocese of Oakland, nourished our heart and soul. And then the reception certainly satisfied everyone's culinary desire. Excellent food, great wine and other beverages, beautiful decorations, wonderful music (offered by our former St. Jarlath Vice Principal, Mr. Avila), and the usual St. Jarlath hospitality, all made the day a true blessing. I cannot thank all of you enough for the generosity of heart and the love and affection shown to me and to one another that day. St. Jarlath at its best. My heartfelt thanks goes out to all of you for the hard work and the amazingly welcoming spirit. To Popoy Fulgueras and Joseph Williams who were the organizers of this event. They were able to count on the help of so many; Knights of Columbus and FCC and which I am forever grateful to them all. Congratulations to Father Mark Ruiz

Father Mark was ordained a priest for the Oakland Diocese on Friday, May 31st at the Cathedral of Christ the Light.

This Sunday, June 9th, he will concelebrate with Fr. Tom at the 10:30am Mass and with Fr. Kofi 12:30pm Mass.

After the 12:30 Mass we will have a celebration for him. Come and give him your good wishes and blessings. All are welcome to attend the Mass and reception.

We are blest to have him here for the month of June until he starts his new assignment at St. Joseph (Old Mission San Jose) in Fremont.

Remember your father for our Novena beginning on Father’s Day. Pick up an envelope after Mass today fill it out with your Father’s Name and return it with your donation. Your envelope will be placed on our altar and remembered at Mass for nine days.

This past at St. Jarlath parish, Fr. Stephan had the honor of crowning our Mother Mary on his 25th anniversary of ordination Mass. It was a beautiful

celebration with all our diverse community.

Fr. Stephan, Congratulations on your silver anniversary of ordination to the Holy Priesthood! Thank you for the honor to celebrate an important milestone in your life here at St. Jarlath Church. It gave the parish the opportunity to work together as a community and highlight the rich diversity of our parish. God bless you!
