SECOND COLLECTION FOR THE NATIONAL

SHRINE OF OUR LADY OF LEBANON

TUESDAY Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will be from

3:00 PM to 5:30 PM followed by the Qurbono

(Divine Liturgy) at 5:30 PM. Adoration will

resume at 6:00 PM and will conclude with the

Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament.

Please note the Blessed Sacrament CANNOT be

left exposed and alone, therefore, a signup sheet is

in the church foyer. If the hours are not complete-

ly filled, adoration will be cancelled on that Tues-

day.

ASCENSION THURSDAY

Thursday May 5 is the feast of the Ascension of

Our Lord, holy day of obligation. Divine Liturgy

at 7:00 PM.

PICTORIAL DIRECTORY

We are in the process of creating a new directory

for St. George parishioners. We have reserved

eight days in May to take these pictures: (May 10-

14, May 17-19). You may schedule your appoint-

ment after all weekend liturgies, by calling the

church office, or online: https://www.securedata-

index.php?page=10. If you cannot make any of

the photo sessions, you can send high resolution

pictures to be included in the directory. The photo

sessions will include hours during the day, night,

and Saturday. We encourage full participation by

all parishioners. A complete and updated directo-

ry is invaluable to all—especially to our new pa-

rishioners. Our directory won't be complete with-

out you! Sign up today!

FOOD & CLOTHING DRIVE

We will continue to collect food, clothing/

shoes and baby product items to donate to

local charities. All items will be collected on

the last Sunday of the month.

PARISH MEETING There will be a parish meeting on Friday May

20, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the church. If you have

any items that you like to discuss at the meeting,

please contact Fr. Charles, Jose Fernandez, Bren-

dan George, George Chebib or Regina Aune.

The John A. Solomon Memorial NAM

Scholarship is open to active members of

the MYO who are graduating seniors.

The Naomi and Paul Kassouf NAM

Scholarship is open to high school sen-

iors whose parents are members of NAM.

The Thomas and Jennie Ayoob Memorial

NAM Scholarship is open to current col-

lege students.

USEK and NDU Scholarships are open

to college students who are members of

NAM or their parents are members of

NAM.

FOLKLIFE FESTIVAL

The 45th Annual Texas Folklife Festival is around

the corner. The dates this year are June 10, 11 &

12. Volunteers are needed to make this event a

success. Please sign-up for at least two shifts.

Sign-up for volunteers will start on May 7 after all

weekend liturgies or by calling the church office.

THANK YOU

A special thank you to Cecilia Herrara, who

joined us on the trip to Lourdes and Fatima, and

who donated an altar cloth for St. George in

memory of her father John Peter Elizondo who

was born on May 13, 1917, the date of the first

apparition of the Virgin Mary in Fatima.
