    Christmas Peace and

    Epiphany Light to you!

I want to first express my sincere gratitude to all of you who sent me

cards, gifts, sweets, and most importantly...your

    prayers for Christmas. Thank you!

Today’s feast of Epiphany invites us to become more aware of all the ways that God reveals himself to us in our daily lives. I notice God’s love for me right here in our parish as I see so many of you as living witnesses to His care and support. I am truly grateful for the ways you show that love to me and one another. As we begin a New Year together, I invite you to be more aware of God’s ‘epiphany’ of His love in all the people around you, both in your fellow parish-ioners and in your own family. Sometimes we get too comfortable and take for granted the very people we love the most and treat strangers more gently than our own family. The ‘star’ of this feast reminds us to be a true LIGHT for others that reminds them of Christ in their life. Let us each make a conscious choice to be a person of LIGHT in every conversation and rela-tionship. In our world of so much darkness – gossip, greed, petty rivalry, grudges – we have to make an extra effort to avoid dark conversations and relation-ships and live only as a person of God’s light! May God’s Epiphany Light be in you, Fr. Jim Deiters

Recent Death: Catherine Schroeder, Mother of Mary (Deacon John) Gomez May she rest in the peace and light of Christ. We continue to pray for all who have died and all who are mourning the death of a loved one.

More than 30,000 men around the country have made the Exodus (including 4 from St. Clare this past year) and transformed their lives. You can, too! For more information and to enroll in Exodus 90, please contact Matt Flynn at 618-632-3562 or [email protected]. Additional information is available in the gathering space.
