A warm welcome to all who have come to worship with us. If you are visiting, we are honored by your presence.
If you are interested in becoming a member, please call the rectory. Our Parish serves the needs of this
community in many ways. We offer preparation for Sacraments, education for children and adults, social
activities, assistance to those in difficulty, comfort to the sick and those who mourn a loss.
If we can be of service, please let us know. We hope you will come again soon.
For your convenience, we have blue “Let Us Know” cards in back of church.

St. Clare Purgatorial Society

November. The donation is $30 and you
receive a certificate of inclusion.
Contact the parish office at 629-0315 for
more information.
ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL Donation Report
Although the pledge cards are not available in back of church, there is still time
to make your pledge and help our parish reach our goal and make a contribu-
tion to the many worthwhile organizations in the archdiocese. Our own parish
has been the recipient of help several times when we were in need. Remember
the Catholic Church is the largest charitable organization in the world and we
can show our faith and love for others through our gifts of money, actions and
prayer.
If you picked up your card and have not yet returned it, you can place it in the
collection basket or call either Joyce Willis @ 636-667-1933 or the parish office
@ 636-629-0315 and let us know how much you can pledge. All gifts, whether
thousands of dollars or as small as $5.00 is put to good use to help others. We also
have put "In-Pew" pledge envelopes in the pews to help make the process
even easier for you. If you will take care of this as soon as possible it will be
greatly appreciated and will save the parish time and money when we do not
have to send you a reminder letter.

“I give you a new commandment: love one
another. As I have loved you, so you also should
love one another." —John 13:34
It is easy to love someone when they love you
back. But it takes strength and courage to love
someone when we feel unappreciated, used or
feel our opinion doesn’t matter. It takes courage to
“love my neighbor” when he may be someone I
don’t like, someone I don’t know or someone that
doesn’t look like me.

“Where your treasure is, there
your heart will be also.” - Luke 12:34
A bequest is a specific provision in your will or living
trust, leaving money or other assets to a person or
institution. If you would like to bequeath money or
other assets to your church, contact your parish office
or the Archdiocese.
EVERYDAY STEWARDSHIP - RECOGNIZE GOD IN
YOUR ORDINARY MOMENTS
I was recently reading an article about the real
aspects of true love. The psychologist writing the
piece said that many people hide behind the words "I
love you." They can start believing that if they say it
enough times, it simply becomes true.
Jesus claimed that the world would know his disciples
by the fact that they loved one another. In the
Church, we speak of loving one another quite
frequently. I hope that someone can tell that I am a
disciple of Jesus by the way I love others. However,
that hope is something I have to keep in the center of
my mind because I fear too often that I speak more
of love than act out of love.
As Christians, we can find ourselves hiding behind our
words. History, unfortunately, has shown us that our
witness of action has not always been profound
enough. The world will surely know whom it is we serve
if we love like Jesus, we act like Jesus, and we serve
others like Jesus. Our stewardship will bear witness to
the transforming power of Jesus Christ, and we will
bring others to him. Our love will be an instrument of
our evangelization. Our words will become true, not
because we said them enough, but because they
are true.
