The Living Crown of Mary – One photograph is all that it takes for
you to become visible in the Living Crown of Mary. We invite you
to join the Pauline Fathers and Brothers from the American Dzesto-
chowa located in Doylestown, PA, as they resolve to honor Mary in
this Jubilee year of the 300th anniversary of the Coronation of the
Miraculous Image of Our Lady of Czestochowa. Begin by taking a
picture of yourself or someone you love, and then include your in-
tentions, resolutions, and spiritual gifts in order to crown Mary with
your heart. Upon receiving all of your images, a grand and marvel-
ous mosaic of Our Lady of Dzestochowa will be created from all the
pictures. You will also receive an image of Our Lady as a sign that
you are a precious jewel in the Living Crown of Mary. For more

SAINT CECILIA CEMETERY – I used Memorial Day
weekend to announce an addition to the Saint Cecilia Ceme-
tery. A COLUMBARIUM is being constructed, off site, and
will be delivered to the cemetery sometime in August. A
“columbarium” is an above ground structure which houses the
ashes of the departed in individual compartments. Our colum-
barium will have 80 compartments which will be topped by a
statue of the Risen Christ. Around the structure will be the
words the Lord Jesus spoke to Martha in Bethany at the grave
of her brother Lazarus, “I am the Resurrection and the Life, he
who believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live.” (John
11:25) For those who choose cremation, the columbarium is
the place (along with the ground) which the Catholic Church
states is the proper place for the burial of the faithful de-
parted’s ashes. The columbarium will be placed on the left
side of the cemetery as you enter through the main gate. One
may purchase a burial niche as soon as the structure is in place
and after it has been blessed. Information regarding the price
for the burial spot will be announced in the coming weeks. For
further information you may speak to me or the cemetery ad-
ministrator, Mrs. Diane Boykow, by calling the parish office. –

Kateri was born near the town of Auriesville, new York, in the year 1656, the daughter of a Mohawk warrior. She was four years old when her mother died of smallpox. The disease also attached Kateri and transfigured her face. She was adopted by her two aunts and an uncle.
Kateri became converted as a teenager. She was baptized at the age of twenty and incurred the great hostility of her tribe. Although she had to suffer greatly for her Faith, she remained firm in it. Kateri went to the new Christian colony of Indians in Canada. Here she lived a life dedicated to prayer, peni-tential practices, and care for the sick and aged. Every morning, even in bitterest winter, she stood before the chapel door until it opened at four and remained there until after the last Mass. She was devoted to the Eucharist and to Jesus Crucified. She died on April 7, 1680, at the age of twenty-four and was beatified in 1980 by Pope John Paul II. She is known as the “Lily of the Mohawks” She was canonized by Pope Benedict XVI at Saint Pe-
ter's Basilica on 21 October 2012.
PRAYER; Lord, You called the Virgin, Saint Kateri, to shine forth among the Indian people as an example of purity o life.
Grant, through her intercession, that all peoples of every tribe, tongue and nation may be gathered into Your Church and pro-
claim Your greatness in one song of praise. Amen

The Same Day —July 14
My Dear Parishioners,
Today we observe the 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time as we assemble to celebrate Jesus’ Holy Resurrection on this, the Lord’s
Day! As we are already into the second week of July many of our parishioners will be on the move. Summer time is the time all
of us need to “chill out,” as the kids would say. We need this time to relax, reflect and enjoy recreation in the beautiful days
which the Lord provides for us. In the Gospel for today the Lord Jesus recognizes our need to rest, “Come to me, all of you who
labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart;
for you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”
We can see that we not only need the rest which the summer vacation season offers but more importantly, we need the rest which
only God can offer. This rest is found each week in the proper observance of the Lord’s Day. On this day, EACH WEEK, we
join in the celebration of the Eucharist in our parish church and then spend the day with family and friends. During this time we
strengthen our relationships and make time to rest and reflect. Our reflection is done through our prayers which provide us with
the peace which only God can give us.
I too look forward to this time of year when things become a little still in our parishes. This provides me and our priests with a
little bit of time to rest and reflect as well.
Because this is a more quiet time of the year I made the decision to CLOSE THE SAINT CECILIA PARISH OFFICE FOR
THIS ENTIRE WEEK. The parish office will be closed and will not reopen until Monday, July 16th. The office is closed for the
week so that a new floor can be installed in the parish office. The new floor will include the main office, chapel, sacristy, confer-
ence room and hall way. The work will be done on the first floor only. I ask for your understanding and apologize for any incon-
venience this may cause. The parish phone will be monitored each day but no one will be in the office to conduct parish busi-
ness. The parish office at Sacred Heart of Jesus will remain open for business during its normal hours.
As your pastor and the one who is responsible for not only the spiritual affairs of the parish but the temporal as well, I remind
you of the importance of your regular and generous offerings to Our Lord. These offerings provide the means for us to pay our
bills. I am so grateful to you for your generosity and I pray that the good Lord will richly bless you!
On Tuesday Deacon Matt leaves for Europe for a vacation to be with his parents and family. He has not seen them for a couple
of years and it is good that he will be with them in Poland. Deacon Matt will be returning to us next month. In the meantime it is
only me and Father Pawel and our good Deacon Paul who are serving you for the summer.
Don’t forget, CHILL OUT! Fr. Zig
