The Sacrament of Baptism is ordinarily celebrated every Sunday immediately following the 11:30 a.m. Mass. Baptism may also be celebrated at the scheduled 5:00 p.m. Saturday Vigil Mass, or at the 11:30 a.m. Sunday Mass.
Arrangements must be made through the rectory office in advance. Godparents must be practicing Catholics.
MATRIMONY Arrangements must be made at least six months in advance of your wedding date. Diocesan directives require pre-marriage conferences and a certain amount of paperwork.

THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER APRIL 15, 2018
PERPETUAL ADORATION each weekday
morning one hour prior to the 8:00 AM Mass
and on Friday from the 8 AM Mass until
10:00 p.m. There were 26:30 Holy Hours made on April 6th. Thank you for your continued devotion to the Presence of Christ in
the Sacrament of the Eucharist. If you are unable to keep your Hour, or if you would like to sign up for an Hour of Adoration, please call Marie Bernert at 330-594-7002.
If Someone asked you to spend ONE HOUR with
Jesus, would you? Adorers needed from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. for one hour on FRIDAYS. Subs needed too! Fill in when someone is unable to make their Holy Hour. Not sure what adoration is? Quietly sit with Jesus, at the Parish Center for one hour on a Friday and pray, read the bible, read a religious book, or read literature that is provided.
PLEASE PRAY FOR THOSE WHO ARE ILL - Lord, our God, help of the helpless, be near our friends and neighbors who suffer this day. Grant them strength, peace of mind and heart, and renewed health if it be your will, through Christ our Lord.

FAMILY PERSPECTIVES - Today’s gospel depicts the disciples as “terrified, disbelieving and wondering.” Yet Jesus stood among them and said: Peace be with you.” What was he thinking? Terror and peace just don’t go together, do they? Yes-in the life of faith. No matter how difficult or messy the situation may be the Risen Lord will be with us offering peace and quieting our fears. ________________________________

THE FIRST FRIDAY CLUB OF AKRON will meet on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Tangier Restaurant, 532 W. Market St., Akron 44303, and will feature Terrie Baldwin, the Director of Evangelization for the Diocese of Cleveland. She will speak about It’s Our Catholic
Faith...Let's Pass it On! Our Catholic faith is full of truth, observed as beautiful and lived in goodness. So let's come together and learn how to pass on the faith we appreciate so much to our family, friends and even to those we may not even know. Each of us are on a spiritual journey from God and back to God. We are called to be like Jesus in living as missionary disciples and sharing our faith with everyone we meet through our words and our actions. The Holy Spirit guides us in all we do. Come to learn four easy steps on how to share one's faith. This presentation will include prayer, scripture, real-life stories, and practical ideas. Do you want to enjoy life? As Pope Francis has said to us in Joy of the Gospel, "Life grows by being given away, and it weakens in isolation and comfort. Indeed, those who enjoy life most are those who leave security on the shore and become excited by the mission of communicating life to others." So let's enjoy life...it's our Catholic faith...let's pass it on!
The cost of the luncheon program is $20.00. Doors open at 11:00 AM; the program begins at noon, and ends promptly at 1:00 PM. You may pay at the door or mail your check to the First Friday Club of Greater Akron, 795 Russell Ave., Akron, OH 44308. Reservations can be made by calling the office, or on the website, no later than Monday, May 7th. _________________________________
