Join us in fellowship to hear the personal testimony of Dr. Nancy Mullen, a local physician, wife, and mother. She will share her conversion to the Catholic faith and the great devotion with which she was gifted. Hearing the story of her initial struggles and personal growth will give you a chance to reflect on your own faith journey. According to Nancy, if you have grown weary of the culture and are unsure of where you fit in God's plan, come to understand that the Lord ministers to you, with you and through you in the details of each day. Mass at 8:00 AM.
To register, send a $12.00 check by February 17 (payable to Magnificat) to Deedee Simon, 1641 Linstead Drive, Lexington, KY 40504.

OPEN HOUSE POTLUCK
Father Al invites you to his home on February 13 from 7:00 to 10:00 PM. Come for a few minutes or a few hours!
731 Allin Drive, Harrodsburg
We will be reading and discussing Six Hours One Friday: Living in the Power of the Cross by Max Lucado. From the back cover: "There is a truth greater than all the losses and sorrows of life. And it can be discovered in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ....Peace where there should be pain. Confidence in the midst of crisis. Hope defying despair.”
Since the book is divided into three sections, we will meet at 6:30 PM on the first three Mondays of March (5, 12, and 19). Once again Ed Eivers has graciously volunteered his home for our meetings.
If you intend to participate, please let Mickie Noel know either by email ([email protected]) or text (859-516-8168) as soon as possible so that Mary Beth can order books. Cost should be less than $10.00.
FAST AND ABSTINENCE GUIDELINES
Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence.
For members of the Latin Catholic Church, the norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal. Two smaller meals may also be taken, but not to equal a full meal. The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding upon members of the Latin Catholic Church from age 14 onwards.

COLD AND FLU SEASON AND COMMUNION
The flu and cold season is underway.
When we suspect illness, each of us can help decrease
the spread of illness by not receiving the
Precious Blood of Christ from the cup
during Communion.
FLU PREVENTION RECOMMENDATIONS
Rosie Albright, Parish Nurse
The flu is widespread in Kentucky this year with deadly consequences to our young and our elderly. To protect your family please do the following:
1. Wash your hands frequently. Wash them as long as it takes to say the Hail Mary. Carry hand sanitizer to use when you are out.
2. Avoid crowds. 3. Avoid touching your face, mouth,
eyes with your hands. 4. Be tested for the flu at the first
signs of the flu. There is a short window from exposure and being able to receive Tamiflu protocol.
5. If you or your family have the flu, stay home from work or school.
Blessings and Be Well.
