Here’s how it worksorganise the appropriate paperwork to do so. If you are a couple or single, we can match you with other like-minded people on a shareboat.

Your travelling companionsEvery group is different, but typically you’ll find your co-traveller’s will be aged between 16 and 55, enjoy keeping active, love the ocean, have a sense of adventure, love fine foods, an occasional glass of wine (for the adults of course), and a good chat.

Life on boardSailing is the perfect way to enjoy the coast, get off the beaten track and conveniently carry everything with

you as you go. The yachts we use are modern and comfortable, with areas to relax both below and above deck.Throw down a cushion, curl up and read a book, or jump from the yacht into the famous waters which surround these islands.

How do I get there?Fly from Australia to Athens then to Skiathos, return.

Small group comfortYou’ll sail in comfort on your chosen yacht, as part of a shared boat of up to 7 other traveller’s, or as a crew of friends on your own yacht. Sail together in a small flotilla of up to six yachts, hosted by your Australian guides. Along the way, catch the adventure bug as you join in fun races, land tours and dinners in fabulous Greek tavernas.

Your nominated yacht will soon feel like a home away from home as you sail through the Sporades islands soaking in the sights. Unpack your bags, move in and enjoy the relaxed vibe like a true local.

Designed for style and space, the yachts in our rally fleet have all the creature comforts above and below deck, while maintaining performance under sail. Each cabin offers a double bed with ample space and storage.

to prepare simple meals or even the full Sunday roast if you desire.

There is also the option to eat ashore if you prefer. Provisioning the yacht is a simple matter with fresh produce etc readily available at each stop.

The smell from the local bakery will entice you every morning and the fresh produce will tempt you as you pass.

As you enjoy your morning coffee on board watch the passing parade from the aft deck of your yacht on the town quay.

The yachts work on a 220V/12V system and they all have an inverter on board. European sockets are located in each cabin and in the saloon, perfect for charging cameras and phones.

Personal travel insurance Travel insurance is recommended by Mariner Boating Holidays. Travellers should ensure they have a valid policy at time of booking. Your travel insurance policy must provide cover against personal accident, death, medical expenses and emergency repatriation with a recommended minimum coverage of US$200,000 for each of the heads of cover. We also recommend it covers cancellation, personal liability and loss of luggage and personal effects. As the event organisers we require a copy of the policy and the emergency contact number so we can act in assistance with confidence.
