Profile of R. Venkata Subramani

A graduate of the University of Madras, Venkata Subramani is a Chartered Accountant who began his career with a professional accounting firm in Chennai. Till recently Venkat was the Head of Business Management at Northern Trust, Bangalore in charge of Operations Control. Earlier Venkat was the Product Manager at Calypso Technology, a global financial software and services company and was in charge of redesigning the hedge accounting part. Venkat’s expertise includes accounting and reporting for different types financial instruments as per IFRS. Currently Venkat is engaged in IFRS advisory services and conducts regular memory training programs for various corporate entities. He is a guest faculty at the CA Institute. Venkat, a rank holder in both CA and ICWAI exams has an overall experience of over three decades. Venkat is the author of the following books published by John Wiley & Sons, Singapore. • Accounting for Investments – Volume 1 – Equities, Futures & Options (June 2009) • Accounting for Investments – Volume 2 – Fixed Income Securities & Interest rate derivatives (June 2011)
