Griffith Observatory Cultural identity
2017 Ellen Flaherty
The Griffith Park Observatory has been a Hollywood icon since the 1930s. This speculative mark nods to the switchback hiking trails leading up to the domed Art Deco/Beaux-Arts structure — and the celestial bodies orbiting overhead. (Speculative)
L.A. MarathonWordmark
The L.A. Marathon traces a line through the city, starting at Dodger Stadium and ending at the Pacific Ocean. This “L.A.” in this wordmark stands in for this continuous motion — and that of the participants as they make their way through the sprawling city. (Speculative)
