Starting from 1st January 2019, the minimum wages will be increase from RM1000 to RM1100.

Malaysia: EPF New Minimum Statutory Rate for Employees Above

Age 60

KWSP announces that the minimum employers’ share of EPF statutory contribution rate for employees above age 60 to be reduce

to 4% per month and employees’ share of contribution rate will be 0%.

From version Sage Payroll 9.9.5.0 and onwards, we had updated the pop out message of KWSP information every time you create

the new company:

Malaysia: LHDN YA2019 Individual Tax Exemption for SSPN Saving

Scheme

Starting from 1st January 2019, Individual Tax Exemption for SSPN Saving Scheme will be increase from RM6000 to RM8000.

Malaysia: LHDN YA2019 Interest on Housing Loan will be remove

Starting from 1st January 2019, Interest on Housing Loan tax relief will be removed from the Tax Reliefs listing.

In the system, Interest of Housing Loan tax relief is referring to tax relief code TR0026. It will be removed from version Sage Payroll

9.9.5.0 and onwards.

Malaysia: LHDN YA2019 Tax Exemption / Relief for Life Insurance

and KWSP

Starting from 1st January 2019, Tax Relief for Life Insurance & KWSP will be separate to:

- Tax Relief EPF or any other Approved Scheme as 4000.00

- Tax Relief for Premium Life Insurance as 3000.00 (For not Public Servants under Pension scheme)

In the Sage Payroll system, from 9.9.5.0 version and onwards:

- TR0001 EPF or any other Approved Scheme with capping amount 4000.00

- TR0035 Life Insurance Premiums 3000.00 (For not Public Servants under Pension scheme)

You may refer at the table, Housekeeping → Setup → Government Table → Tax Relief Table

PERKESO: Foreign Worker Disaster Scheme (SBPPA)

Starting from 1st January 2019, Foreign Worker Disaster Scheme (SBPPA) will be enforce and employer need to register foreign

worker employer for this scheme which Act applicable to SPBBA is Act 4. Contribution to SBPPA are borne and paid only by

employers at the same rate as local employees of 1.25%.

In Sage Payroll, you may use the Table 3 for Foreign Worker.

Email Payslip

In this version, Sage Payroll has enhanced with Email payslip feature to each of the employee. requirement of the email payslip

function is that you need Microsoft Outlook account and the payslip will be send via outlook to the respective employee’s email

address like Gmail, Hotmail, etc.

With this feature, you may now able to select either 1 or many employees in 1 screen to email the payslip.

Below is the process pay which cover for Email Payslip function:

Important Notes:

1. Email Payslip enhancement is currently compatible on Window 8 and Window 10.

2. Email Payslip feature requirement:

o Microsoft Outlook. You need to have Microsoft Outlook and account in your workstation.

o Other email services will in enhance in the future.

3. Possible error message will be prompt if the workstation does not have the Microsoft Outlook account setup:

4. If Employee has IC No. (NEW) and Passport No. – Password for the payslip pdf is IC No. (NEW) without dash.

5. If Employee has Passport No. only - Password for the payslip pdf is Passport no.

1 384-201465 RTE Export/Import Payroll Records feature/function prompt error message for

Import process.

Issue:

- System prompt error message while Import process at Miscellaneous

→ Export/Import Payroll Records.

Resolved:

- Issue is now fixed. Successfully import without prompt error message

during the import process.

2 417-214052 Import/Export Data at the wrong column while export payroll records to excel.

Issue:

- Data at the wrong column starting from MFUND column AL onward

while generate the excel file format from Miscellaneous → Export

Payroll Records to Excel.

Resolved:

- Issue is now fixed. Excel file format which generated is now with the

correct data at the correct column in the excel.

3 414-224961 UI/Usability YTD Report (Statutory) Incorrect Total Amount

Issue:

- Monthly and Yearly → Year to Date Report → YTD Statutory Report

Total EPF Employer’s amount is incorrect for the 2nd filter category

and onwards as the amount added up from the previous filter

category.

Resolved:

- Issue is now fixed. Total EPF Employer’s amount for each of the

filtered category is now with the correct amount for the report

following:

a. Department

b. Line No.

c. Branch

d. Category

4 414-216810 Bank File Ambank Bank File format incorrect information.

Issue:

- Employee who is non-active pay is generated in the Ambank Salary,

EPF and Tax text file format which from Miscellaneous → External

Application → A102.Ambank File Format.

Resolved:

- Issue is now fixed. Employee who is non-active pay won’t be

generate in the Ambank Salary, EPF and Tax Text File format.

5 419-228373 Bank File Incorrect total amount for Ambank APS 37 while generating 2nd Half Payroll +

Bonus + Commission + Extra.

Issue:

- Total amount is incorrect while generating the bank text file format

from 2nd half payroll + bonus + commission + extra.

Resolved:

- Issue is now fixed. Total amount of the bank text file is now with

correct amount.

6 414-228042 CPF CPF Contribution Amount incorrect for Additional Wages on December.

Issue:

- CPF employee and employer contribution amount for additional

wages was incorrect for an employee due to the ceiling calculation.

Resolved:

- Issue is now fixed. Additional wage ceiling calculation is now

updated. CPF employee and employer contribution for additional

wages is now correct for the employee.
