The couple spends their days taking long walks together, riding bicycles, and gardening. They also enjoy traveling, and own a recreational vehicle they take on extended trips around the United States.

She and her husband Gordon enjoy spending their days together, and say that the secret to their long marriage is that they were close friends before they became romantically involved.

Safina Padaniya says that there are some days when she wants nothing more than to be in her garden, pulling weeds. She is a retired executive assistant who took up organic gardening many years ago, and remains passionate about it. She is a Los Angeles native who currently lives in Woodland Hills in the San Fernando Valley.

She often leaves her garden for a month or more while she and her husband travel, but pays a neighbor to tend it while she’s gone.
