Safeguarding Improve management of child protection
The Safeguarding module in Bromcom helps schools effectively manage their safeguarding obligations whilst streamlining and simplifying the process for teachers and school staff. The module is embedded into the MIS to make recording incidents simple for all school staff, using a system that is already familiar to them. Follow-up actions and communications are recorded and linked to incidents. All information is retained in the student details page, providing easy access to those that need it.
Benefits
The Safeguarding lead is empowered with rich reporting capabilities that help to evidence, audit and intervene in Safeguarding cases and concerns. Use the Safeguarding module to enhance your practices whilst also reducing staff workload, administration and costs.
Safeguarding Alerts Allows selected members of staff to be alerted by SMS, email or system notification if there has been an incident or action logged.
Integrated with MIS Data Allows school to monitor and record Safeguarding and wellbeing issues for students directly within the MIS without the need for third-party solutions.
Share Actions A Safeguarding action can be shared with other members of staff. The additional staff member will be able to view the action but not edit.
Body Maps for Precise and Detailed Incident Logs Users can mark-up a graphical representation of the human body to indicate and signs of trauma.
Highly Secure • The Safeguarding module is built with ISO27001 compliance and only allows access
to relevant staff using detailed access permissions.
• Improves GDPR compliance by eliminating the need for sharing sensitive andconfidential information with third parties or outside of the school system.
Why do you need Safeguarding? Most schools operate a manual (in many cases hand written and paper based) system for the reporting of incidents, including potential Child Protection issues. Bromcom’s safeguarding option enables schools to improve their management of child protection and similar incidents whilst reducing staff time, paperwork and administration. Our safeguarding option is used to record an entire host of wider pastoral and welfare information across a school.

The Safeguarding module is fully customisable by the school to include specific incident categories, status types, involved agencies and so on. Additional evidence and supporting documents can be attached to a specific incident record.
