Read Across AmericaTeachers and students had so much fun celebrating Read Across America this week. One special author, Dr. Seuss, still connects with children years after he has passed. His words of acceptance

and love for others and self relate to people of all ages. We honored his contribution towards reading by dressing up in crazy clothes

based on books he wrote.

Lent BeginsAfter a day of indulgence, students and staff began their journey into Lent. On Ash Wednesday, I asked students what they chose to sacrifice. We can all ask ourselves how will we grow closer to God this Lenten season.

- Sarah Nyp’s idea

Met with Rhonda Rowcroft-Befort for resources on anxiety, depression, autism, technology & the brain- parent night? And policies for crisis, mandated reporting, behavioral policy

- She is seeing stunted growth in the area of social and emotional behaviors, frontal lobe is not being totally developed.

- Lack of social interactions and social support system - Increase in school kids with anxiety and depression especially middle school, but she regularly

meets with a second grader struggling with this - Fortnight & casino games have redefined how kids live their lives—because they only have “3

days to play this game/claim this prize”
