Stewardship Reflections January 28, 2018 4th Sunday in Ordinary Time

(Jesus and the apostles) went to Capernaum. When the sabbath came, he entered the synagogue and taught, and they were astounded at his teaching. Mark 1:21-22

We who are stewards of Jesus’ kingdom continue to be astounded at his teaching. We are astounded each time we reflect upon his words and realize the great mission to which we are being called. We are invited to a life of care and concern for one another. How are we to live out that call?

"Hermanos y hermanas: me gustaría que estén libres de ansiedades". (1 Corintios 7:32) ¿Cuánta ansiedad nos causamos al preocuparnos constantemente por no tener lo suficiente o por no lograr más cosas? Dios no necesariamente te dará todo lo que deseas, pero Él te proporcionará todo lo que necesites. Prueba esto: usa la palabra "orar" en lugar de la palabra "preocuparse" en el futuro.

Dia de Servicio con Jovenes Adultos

Ven hacer "Manos y pies de Cristo" con cientos de Jóvenes Adultos de edades de 18-39 en el Día Arquidi-ocesano de Jóvenes Adultos día de servicio y oración el sábado, 17 de marzo del 2018. Equipos servirán ayudan-do a las víctimas de Harvey, al enfermo, al pobre, al que tiene hambre, prisioneros, y los inmigrantes. El día empieza a las 8:30am con la Santa Misa celebrada por el Obispo Sheltz, seguido por el desayuno y saldremos en equipos a servir alrededor de la ciudad. Jueves, Feb. 15, Mar. 15, Abr. 19, Mayo 17; 7:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Reunión de discernimiento vocacional en español a la vida sacerdotal y religiosa para jóvenes adultos solteros (hombres y mujeres) de 18 a 35 años de edad que hayan completado preparatoria y/o equivalente. Las reuniones se llevara a cabo en el Convento de las Hermanas Carmelitas Misioneras de Santa Teresa (9600 Deer Trail Dr., Houston, TX 77038). Retiro de A.C.T.S para Hombres

Marzo 15-18, 2018

Un fin de semana de A.C.T.S es presentado por varones laicos apoyados por el clero y directores espirituales. El objetivo de este retiro es para fortalecer la fe, y su manifestación en la vida diaria, renovar su espiritualidad y construir amistades duraderas dentro y fuera de su comunidad. El retiro se inicia el jueves, 15 de marzo del 2018 a las 5:00 de la tarde. Con el registro en nuestra parroquia. Se le proporcionara transporte hacia el centro del retiro, Christian Renewal Center y de regreso para todos los participantes. El retiro concluye el domingo, 18 de marzo del 2018 a la 1:00 p.m. del día con la celebración de la Santa Misa en nuestra parroquia. Habrá una recepción en el salón después de Misa para los participantes, familiares y amigos. El costo total para cada participante es $200.00.
