October is the Month of the Rosary. Before the 15th Century there were over 100 Mysteries

ascribed to this meditative prayer. Then, the tradition-

al Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious Mysteries became

the standard meditations for the faithful contemplated

the life of our Savior. In 2002, Pope John Paul II add-

ed the five Luminous Mysteries which reflect upon

the three years of Jesus’ ministry and the revelation of

his divinity to those who would hear and believe. In

this month of October, let our families claim our

Catholic identity as we take up the rosary beads to

recite the prayers and recall Christ’s redemptive work

in the world and in our own lives. Reference: https://www.catholicculture.org/culture/
