Missionary Cooperative Program (Appeal)—August 26-27 Each year over 150 missionary dioceses and religious orders request per-mission to come to our diocese to give an appeal for financial support. This appeal is a major source of funding for these missionaries, and the monies collected in our parish go directly to that missionary diocese or religious for the poor that they serve. These funds are used to feed, house and educate the poor and orphans, provide medical care, build churches, schools, clin-ics, catechetical training centers, dig wells, etc., and educate candidate for the priesthood and religious life and provide many other necessities. RCIA Class Fr. Kosch will be teaching RCIA class on Thurs-day evenings, tentatively starting on Thursday, August 31, and ending on April 19, 2018, three weeks after Easter. (Easter is on April 1 next year.). We will take three holidays off in Nov.-Dec, of course. The class will meet 7:00—9:00 pm.
