SPOTLIGHT412th Force Support Squadron

Rachel MorganHuman Resources Specialist, EMR/LMR

How long have you worked for the Federal Government?Total 13 years; I enlisted in the IL Air National Guard (ILANG) in Aug 2000, as a Personnelist (3S0X1) and served for 6 years. I began Federal Civil Service in March 2012.

What directed you to Civil Service as a career?I worked in the private sector for a few years after I separated from the ILANG and did not find the same enjoyment and sense of service I had previously felt. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in uniform

and was looking for a way to continue to serve.

What do you enjoy most about your job?I enjoy being able to see the impact of my actions. Regardless if I am assisting employees with the Voluntary Leave Transfer Program or meeting with supervisors to answer their questions or address their concerns, I appreciate having the opportunity to serve, every day.

How do you spend your weekends?Weekends are spent with my family at soccer games, batting cages, the movies, completing homework or relaxing with my 2 dogs.
