Introduction

SABIS® Digital Platform has been refreshed and reorganized to provide an improved

experience. This document is intended to provide the Regional Centers and the School

Leadership Team with detailed information on the content and purpose of the main categories

within and to ensure content is being appropriately shared with parents/students under the

newly created categories and sub-categories.

Useful Features

Throughout SABIS® Digital Platform, there are a number of specific features that the user

should be aware of and that provide useful information.

o The number adjacent to the title of a category/sub-category reflects the number of

unread items within that category/sub-category.

o A blue bar indicates that an item has not been read yet, while the gray color reflects

items that have been read.

o The icon indicates a downloadable attachment.

o The red flag icon marks important announcements.

o Content under certain categories can be filtered, based on specific applicable criteria.

The option to View Unread Documents is also available.

o The default week shown is always the current academic term and week. However, the

option to view any other week is available through the filtering options.




General Information

The General Information category includes announcements made by the school, specific

forms that require input from parents and/or students, and informational documents pertaining

to SABIS® products.

Announcements

The Announcements sub-category includes informative messages communicated by the

school to students/parents.

Announcements may be related to current and/or upcoming school events, letters, the

Summer Camp, the Student/Parent Handbook, etc.

School Forms

The School Forms sub-category contains school forms, with the purpose of obtaining

information from students/parents regarding several topics (such as student health records,

food allergy list, consent forms, etc.).

These documents are therefore downloadable, and after the necessary form has been filled

in, it must be returned to the school.

Information Technology

The Information Technology category includes documents that describe the procedures,

functionalities, and design of a SABIS® product (such as the SABIS® Tablet Use Agreement,

SABIS® Digital Platform – Parent Profile, and SABIS® Tablet Usage documents, etc.).




Schedules and Timetables

The Schedules and Timetables category includes class schedules, exam timetables, and

general calendars created by the school.

Class Schedule

The Class Schedule sub-category provides the respective classroom timetable including the

class subject periods planned per week, and the respective teacher. This schedule is shown

by level and on a term basis.

Exam Timetable

The Exam Timetable sub-category lists all scheduled exams in addition to their corresponding

study material, by level. These include Diagnostic, AMS, Homework, and Periodic exams (as

applicable by school).

Other exam timetables that are related to specific exams, and that are not included in the

master document mentioned above, may also be posted under this sub-category. These

include the Make-up Exam, the End of Year Retake, CAT/Final Exam schedules, etc.

Other Schedules and Timetables

This sub-category includes various schedules and timetables that do not contain information

related to exams (such as the SLO® schedule of events, etc.).




Exam Preparation

This category allows students to better prepare for their exams. It includes downloadable

documents, such as practice sheets and study material, and also provides an interactive online

practice environment to assess and improve students’ readiness prior to their exam’s

scheduled date.

Exam Documents/Practice

This sub-category includes practice sheets, drills, and study material that aim to help students

familiarize themselves with the exam content and instructions prior to the exam date. These

downloadable documents are marked by a green/gray download icon .

Documents posted here may include exam Sample Questions with/without their solutions,

weekly list of vocabulary and spelling words, practice exercises/worksheets, etc.

Another type of practice for exams is the Online Quiz, marked by the green icon . Upon

clicking on the link, students may choose to attempt the respective quiz to practice for the

related exam, or view the results if the quiz was taken previously.

Opt-out Exams

This sub-category provides study lists for Opt-out exams. The list of concepts and topics

required for the Opt-out exam are displayed per level and subject.




Grid

This category provides study material and progress information on the SABIS® Grid that

consists of a fixed number of questions deemed essential for students’ learning. Those

questions within a SABIS® Grid that have not been mastered by a particular student are

considered to be a part of that student’s respective PrepList (i.e. customized Preparatory List

of un-mastered questions).

Grid Documents

The documents in this sub-category include Sample Questions for Grid items, including their

related solutions at the end of the document. These downloadable documents are available

per subject, and are used for practice.

The Grid Documents sub-category may also include Top Questions related to external exams

and/or Basic Questions including their corresponding solutions.

PrepList Practice

This interactive sub-category allows students to better prepare for their PrepList sessions with

the objective of mastering PrepList items.

Students are able to view their PrepList items and practice the respective Sample Questions.




Homework

Within this category, students and parents are able to view and track the status of assigned

homework.

Performance

The Performance category allows students and parents to monitor academic performances.

The available reports are the Progress Overview, Academic and Exam Questions’ Details,

among others.

On-Demand Tutoring

The SABIS® On-Demand Tutoring portal offers a wide library of video tutorials that cover

concepts and topics in various subjects and for all levels.




Student Learning Environment

Students may access the Student Learning Environment category to log in to the SABIS®

Online Courses, which offers a richer, more exciting, and interactive learning environment.

The Student Learning Environment aims to provide students with the opportunity to enrich

their knowledge through additional self-study courses that are available online, and that

otherwise may not be offered locally at the school.

Parent Online Ordering

Parents are redirected to the SABIS® Parent Online Ordering portal, where they need to log

in to perform various school-related transactions, including settling payments.




Photo Gallery

Photos are sorted by album, giving easy access to view pictures of school events and more.
