PicK uP serViceIn Terminals A and B of the Saas-Fee multi-storey car park, you can make a call to your accommodation free of charge from the telephone points. Guests arriving by public transport can call their hotels free of charge from the Saas-Fee tourist office.

Rrefuse collectionIn Saas-Fee, rubbish bags should be deposited in the bin com-pound. In Saas-Almagell, Saas-Balen and Saas-Grund, rubbish is collected from the roadside every Tuesday and Friday morning. Please only use the designated bin bags that are subject to a dis-posal charge. These bags can be purchased individually or in packs from supermarkets. Cardboard should be tied together and taken to the bin compound. Paper, glass, aluminium and PET should be disposed of separately at the following locations:

Public trAnsPortsaas-fee local busLocal buses connect the village to the Saas-Fee ski resort. Timeta-bles for the various routes are available at the Saas-Fee tourist of-fice and are included on the ski slope map.

PostbusThe PostBus offer safe and efficient travel. Avoid the tiresome search for parking spaces and discover the Free Republic of Holi-days Saas-Fee on the PostBus – stress-free, comfortable, and free of charge with the Citizens’ pass! Timetables for public bus lines are available at all tourist offices and post offices.

ski busGive your car a “brake” and hop on the ski bus to reach the Saas-Fee, Saas-Grund, Saas-Almagell and Saas-Balen ski resorts. Travel on ski buses is free of charge with your Citizens’ pass.

SshoPPingDuring the winter season, most shops are open Monday to Satur-day from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Many shops are also open for a few hours on Sundays. Bakeries are open from 7 a.m.

trAins/PostbusThere are direct trains to Visp from Basel, Berne, Geneva and Zu-rich. From Visp, it is a half-hour journey on the PostBus to the Free Republic of Holidays Saas-Fee. You can find detailed timetables at www.sbb.ch.

destinAtionsbritannia mountain hut (3030 m a.s.l.)Built in 1912 by British members of the Alpenclub (hence the name) the Britannia mountain hut is one of the most visited SAC mountain huts in all of the Alps and is the starting point for the fa-mous Haute Route and other high-Alpine trails.It is situated about a 90-minute walk from the Felskinn mountain station.
