OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

PEO I: Our graduates will have

professional competency in the field of

Computer Science and Engineering to

investigate, analyze and demonstrate

problem solving skills across broad range

of application areas with sound technical

expertise.

PEO II: Our graduates will have ethical

standards, leadership qualities,

communication, presentation and team

work skills necessary to function

effectively and professionally.

PEO III: Our graduates will adapt to new

technologies, tools and methodologies, to

assess and respond to the challenges of the

changing environment and needs of the

society by providing sustainable

innovative solutions to upgrade the society

forever.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (POs)

1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the

knowledge of mathematics, science,

engineering fundamentals, and an

engineering specialization to the

solution of complex engineering

problems.

2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate,

review research literature, and analyze

complex engineering problems

reaching substantiated conclusions

using first principles of mathematics,

natural sciences, and engineering

sciences

3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex

engineering problems and design

system components or processes that

meet the specified needs with

appropriate consideration for the

public health and safety, and the

cultural, societal, and environmental

considerations.

4. Conduct investigations of complex

problems: Use research-based

knowledge and research methods

including design of experiments,

analysis and interpretation of data, and

synthesis of the information to provide

valid conclusions.

5. Modern tool usage: Create, select,

and apply appropriate techniques,

resources, and modern engineering and

IT tools including prediction and

modeling to complex engineering

activities with an understanding of the

limitations.

6. The engineer and society: Apply

reasoning informed by the contextual

knowledge to assess societal, health,

safety, legal and cultural issues and the

consequent responsibilities relevant to

the professional engineering practice.

7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the

professional engineering solutions in

societal and environmental contexts,

and demonstrate the knowledge of, and

need for sustainable development.

8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and

commit to professional ethics and

responsibilities and norms of the

engineering practice.

11. Project management and finance: Demonstrate knowledge and

understanding of the engineering and

management principles and apply these

to one’s own work, as a member and

leader in a team, to manage projects

and in multidisciplinary environments.

12. Life-long learning: Recognize the

need for, and have the preparation and

ability to engage in independent and

life-long learning in the broadest

context of technological change.

The Department is accredited by

NBA, New Delhi. It has grown strong

over the years in terms of infrastructure

facilities, experienced and dedicated

team of faculty, technical expertise,

modern teaching aids, browsing

facilities etc. It has centralized computer

centre with a built up area of 2210 sq.m.

It has excellent and well-equipped air-

conditioned laboratories with state-of-

the art computing facilities, equipped

with more than 550 latest pentium

systems along with updated versions of

latest software and hardware. The

department has signed MoUs with

leading MNCs enabling staff and

students to work on current trends. The

department has highly qualified and

dedicated team of faculty members who

work towards creating an academic

industrial environment through

Continuous interaction with the leading

Software Industries and organizing

Guest Lectures, Industrial visits, In-

plant training, Internship Programmes,

Value Added Courses and FDPs.

Department library is enriched

with over 1287 books and 36

Journals.

Special placement training,

group discussions and mock

interviews are being organized to

familiarize students with

standard selection procedures.

Our staff members and students

are the members of the

professional bodies like IEEE,

CSI, ISTE, ACM, ACM-W,

IEEE-WE and IAENG.

Research and consultancy

Projects are carried out by our

students under aegis guidance by

the faculty.

Department has six doctorates

and 50% of the faculty members

are pursuing research.

Every year the department

produces ample University rank

Holders.

The department has received

funds worth Rs.25 Lakhs from

various funding agencies for

organizing seminars/workshops

and modernizing the labs.

In this programme our department girl’s students were participated.
