• IoT product and service suppliers will generate incremental revenue exceeding $300 billion in 2020 – Gartner 2014

• The number of “IoT endpoints,” connected devices such as Cars, Watches, Refrigerators, Wind turbines, Oil Platforms and everything in between, will grow from 10.3 billion in 2014 to more than 29.5 billion in 2020 – IDC 2015

• Total effort about 300 person.year

• Total budget of 45 M€ of which 18,5 M€ of government funding (CGI/DGE) within the scope of the « Nouvelle France Industrielle » initiative

o Competitive, perennial alternative to other dominant software execution platforms, with native support for safety and/or security

• Significant increase of worldwide market shares for this software execution platform

o Competitiveness in traditional industrial application domains (e.g., transportation, energy, automotive, defense...)

o As well as consumer domains (wearables, healthcare..)

• Emergence of new actors bringing new trustable services, from the cloud to the sensors/actuators, (e.g., home automation, smart cities)

The S3P Alliance

• Gathers users of the S3P platform but also interested parties (partners, prospects…) to build more use cases and deployments

• Gathers market needs and challenges

• Facilitates usage of S3P solutions

• Provides a vehicle to link with the other vertical NFI initiatives (autonomous vehicles, civilian UAVs, contactless services..) and the « Digital Trust » Cluster

• Ensures consistency and collaboration with the main IoT initiatives and IoT platform providers (Industrial Internet, Industrie 4.0, China 2025, etc…)


S3P Alliance Details

• « S3P Alliance » is created as a WorkGroup of Embedded France

• The only pre-requisite to join the S3P Alliance is to become a member of Embedded France o SME and Academics: 1000€/year

o ETI and Large Company: 2500€/year

o Sponsor: 5000€/year (includes sponsoring of the « Assises de l’Embarqué »)
