Animal Adaptation ModelDue: October 20th at the beginning of class
You are an explorer who has been traveling the world. On your travels you have discovered a never before seen animal. You spend several weeks traveling with this animal and studying its behavior. You want to tell people back home all about this new found animal. In order to let people know all about this animal you can create a poster or a diorama.

In your animal poster or diorama, you must include the following information:
o Model or illustration of animal including 4 of the following adaptations: Odor Tentacles Horns Poison Claws Camouflage Mimicry Shell Antlers Sounds
o Make, create, or illustrate the habitat the animal lives in Examples of habitat:

The following are examples of journal entries for you to use as examples or to get ideas from.
You will also be working on your journal entries in Mrs. Arnold’s class
You must create a journal entry, as if you were an explorer studying the animal behavior, with the information listed below. You will be given points based on your creativity of making your journal. Writing it on just a piece of paper, will not get you points. In your journal entry you can make 3 illustrations and designs to represent you information. You MUST make sure that I can identify and know what your illustrations are. If I cannot make out what your illustrations are, you will not receive your points. The other 2 pieces of information must be written out in word form.
1. What were you doing when you discovered this animal?
o You can tell/write it or illustrate it.
2. The name of the animal (you create it/come up with the name)
3. Identify (you can illustrate this) and describe (write it out) the 4 adaptations your new found animal has:
