Launch pad
Launch pad displays many apps that you can choose from.
'App' is short for 'application' - which is another name for a computer program.
Apps are used to carry out particular functions, for example to play games, get
turn-by-turn directions, access news, books, weather, emails, etc. Normally, when
people talk about apps they are almost always referring to programs that run on
mobile devices, such as smartphones or tablet computers.
At this level, you will be using the Mail and People app.

Email Etiquette
With email becoming the dominant form of business communication, many
employees will spend a large proportion of their day attending to and replying to
emails. Email etiquette refers to the rules that we should remember when using
emails.
Be brief and to the point - Emails are not the way to communicate when
you wish to have a long, drawn out conversation or to give a detailed
description of something. Keep to the subject of the email, be very precise
in your content and be brief, without missing important information.
Always read over an email before you send it to make sure it makes sense.
Remember to check your spelling and punctuation - Poor spelling and keying
in errors can completely change the meaning of an email and cause confusion.
Check carefully before you click the send button.
Check e-mails regularly - Answer promptly as somebody may be waiting on a
reply.
Make sure you answer any questions asked.
Only attach necessary files.
If you are using the reply facility, check who is receiving a copy of your
email – it may be going to more than just the person you think. Reply to
Sender will only send a response to the one person who emailed you in the
first place. ‘Reply to All’ you will send the email back to everyone who was
sent the original email.
Include a Subject - When composing your email, try to include a subject
which will indicate to the recipient the content of your email.
Storing emails in an organized fashion - Create folders in your inbox for
various topics, people etc. and save the emails in the appropriate folder.
Always delete unwanted emails in order to save space.
Do not write in capital letters – this is perceived as SHOUTING.
Do not forward chain letters, jokes, racist, sexist or gossipy comments –
remember email is still written business correspondence.
Avoid using urgent and important unless the email really is urgent and/or
important use cc sparingly.
