소래청소년오케스트라는음악으로청소년의건전한문화의식을고취시키고

지역사회를앞장서서섬기는토론토최대규모의비영리한인청소년음악단체입니다.

2003년소래교회의앙상블로출발하여 2004년비영리법인단체의인가를받아

독립했으며,음악을좋아하는청소년들이라면종교와신념에상관없이모두가함께

모이도록문을넓혔습니다.

틈틈이캐나다단체의행사와한인행사에서자원봉사연주활동을펼치며일

년에한번갖는정기연주회를통해수익금을TorontoCityMission,조이모자

선교회,밀알선교단등캐나다와한인사회봉사단체에기부해왔습니다.

앞으로도소래청소년오케스트라는여러자원봉사연주와정기연주회를

통해청소년의건전한문화의식함양과사회봉사정신을고취시켜나갈것입니다.

Sohrae Youth Orchestra is the biggest non-profit organization inToronto consisting of Korean student volunteers, aimed to improve the cultural appreciation in adolescents and to share our musical talents with the GTA community. Sohrae Orchestra started out as an ensemble for Sohrae Presbyterian Church during Sunday worships in 2003. It soon grew tobean independentnon-profitorganization in2004withgovernmentalapproval. Our auditions are now open to all Korean students whose love for music compels them to greater lengths, regardless of religion. Sohrae Youth Orchestra volunteer at various - Korean and Canadian-community festivals and hold annual fundraising concerts to donate all profitstocharityorganizations,suchasTorontoCityMission. Our concerts have established themselves as an anticipated yearly celebration of musical talents, one of the biggest events in Korean-Canadian and the regional community.

소래청소년오케스트라의정기연주회에오신여러분을진심으로환영합니다.

해마다반복되는일정이지만,작년11월에바로이자리에서제15회정기연주회를

연후,금년초부터다시단원을재구성하여오늘이자리에다시섰습니다.음악을

사랑하는우리청소년들이금년일년동안갈고닦으며준비해온모든것을오늘

저녁에여러분들과함께나누고자합니다.

소래청소년오케스트라는음악을배우는것에그치지않고,음악을통하여

교양과정서를기르게하고,단체활동을통해협력과조화를배우고,공연을통하여

사회봉사를실천하며,청소년들의건전한문화를형성하고,봉사의식를함양하고자

2001년 12월창단하였으며, 2003년에비영리단체로등록하고지속적으로활동해

왔습니다.해마다처음시작할때는힘들고어렵게느껴졌지만,서로돕고격려하고

부족함을서로채워가며아름다운화음을만들어내고자전력을다하여이자리에까지

오게 되었음을생각할때 단원들이참으로자랑스럽습니다. 오늘의자선 공연을

위하여학업시간을쪼개어열심히연습하여이자리에선단원들이기에,음악적으로는

부족할지라도꾸준히노력하는열정과성실함을칭찬해주시고,큰박수로격려해

주시기부탁합니다.

열심으로지도해주신지휘자및음악선생님,물심양면으로아낌없이지원하고

봉사해주신학부모님,자원봉사자,그리고후원자여러분께감사의말씀을드립니다.

Thank you for coming to the annual Sohrae Youth Orchestra concert!Sohrae Youth Orchestra does not stop at studying musical pieces, but we strive to sophisticate the mind and teach teamwork and cooperation. Sohrae Youth Orchestra sought to enrich the North York community, help the youth develop a taste for classical music through performances and cultivate a spirit ofvolunteering;andoureffortshavecontinuedsinceitsfoundation14yearsago. We have participated in local events as well as our annual end-of-the-year fundraising concert. All our members made time to practice individually and together every week, and I am proud to commend them as valuable members of our community with endless potential. We may not be professional musicians but we have a willing heart, boundless passion and diligence. Please look kindly upon us. We are eternally grateful to the technical teachers that guided us through the music, the parents, the volunteers and the sponsors that helped us with this concert.

Every year, in preparing for the annual concert, we aim to harmonize the individualmindsof themanymusicians into asingleunifiedentitythatistheorchestra.Duringthisprocess,the musicians are nurtured their love of music and instilled in them the confidence, self discipline, and teamwork requiredto attain artistic excellence and personal growth. I wish that our members will always remember that a community is made prosperous by the collective endeavour of a few individuals with small talents, and that they will mature to become crucial and helpful members of society. 행복합니다.소래청소년오케스트라는음악과함께청소년의건전한문화의식을고취시키고

함께하는지역사회를만들어가기위한비영리한인청소년음악단체로,한인행사뿐만

아니라캐나다단체에서운영하는행사를통해자원봉사연주활동을펼쳐오고있습니다.

2003년소래교회의앙상블로출발한소래청소년오케스트라가오늘11번째정기공연을

하게되었습니다.사람으로비유하면청소년에해당한다말할수있을것입니다.

자칫삭막하기쉬운이민생활에서소래청소년오케스트라는자라나는우리청소년들

에게는음악을사랑하고나눔의소중함을일깨워주는장의역할을,우리에게는매년캐나다

연주되는보로딘심포니2번1악장,교향시핀란디아,대학축전서곡등을들으며‘음악은

일상의먼지를영혼으로부터씻어낸다’는말을실감할수있으리라생각됩니다.

Congratulations on the joyous occasion of the 16th Annual Concertpresented by the Sohrae Youth Orchestra.Since its establishment in 2004, the Sohrae Youth Orchestra has beeninstrumental in cultivating the outstanding musical passion and talents of Korean youths in the G.T.A. ‘가벼운클래식’이라는평가를듣고있는보로딘의교향곡 2번은러시아교향곡들중에서도

유혹적인선율이인상적일뿐만아니라가장뛰어나고독창적인작품이다.보로딘이인상적인악상을

전개해나가는방식은자유,신선함과놀라운자신감이었다.특히경쾌한자유분방함이인상적인

피날레가그렇다.가장경쾌한분위기의단조교향곡을느낄수있을것이다.

3. Chaconne in G minor 샤콘느 ............................................................T. Vitali

세상에서 제일 슬픈 곡이라 불리우는 비탈리의 샤콘느는 서정적이고 애절한 멜로디로 마음을

사로잡는다.비교적짧은주제가쉼없이변주되며매번비장하고애끓는분위기의멜로디가지속된다.

때로는비장하고때로는오래참는슬픔등의여러감정을느끼게하는명곡중의명곡이다.샤콘느는17

세기유행했던기악곡의형식으로느린3박자의춤곡이다.특히프랑스와스페인에서유행한곡으로

바로크시대의변주곡이기도하다.

4. Finlandia Op. 26 교향시 핀란디아 .................................................. J. Sibelius

핀란드의아름다운자연을찬양한이교향시는조국에대한진지한사랑이빛나는애국심에기반을둔

곡이다.핀란드는오랜세월을러시아의지배하에서시달렸을때어려운환경속에서시름하고있던

국민들에게애국심을다시한번생각하게하는크나큰역할을했다.

6. Ruslan and Ludmila Overture 루슬란과 루드밀라 서곡 ......................... M. Glinka

러시아국민악파작곡가인글린카의두번째가극이며,시인푸시킨의같은이름의서사시에바탕을

두고작곡했다.기에프대공의딸루드밀라가악마체르노몰에게유괴된것을세명의기사가

도와준다는줄거리로,기사들중의한사람인루슬란이마지막에루드밀라를구출하여해피엔드가

된다.오늘날가극은상연되지않고,서곡만연주회용프로그램을장식하고있다.

9. Academic Festival Overture, Op.80 대학축전서곡 .............................J. Brahms

1879년독일의브레슬라우대학에서브람스에명예박사학위를준다는통지를받고,이것에보답으로

1880에작곡하여완성된서곡이다.브람스의얼마안되는심포니작품중하나인대학축전서곡은

경쾌하고유머러스해서그당시‘웃는서곡’이라고불려지기도했다.엄격한소나타형식을따르는

브람스대부분작품들에비해이곡은자유로운소나타형식을따른다.브람스의대부분의작품들이

무겁고어두운데,이작품은제목에어울리게젊음의기쁨과패기가넘치고밝다.
