Beach SafetyQueensland has some of the world’s best beaches, however care and caution should be exercised at all times. Please remember to swim between the red and yellow flags and listen to instructions from lifesavers and lifeguards. Marine stingers are present in coastal waters from October to June, so please heed warning signs and look for beaches with netted enclosures for safe swimming.

School Leavers CelebrationsEach year from mid November to mid December, school leavers from Queensland and southern states head to Airlie Beach for School Leavers Celebrations. During this period, bonds and conditions may apply to some properties. Check with your travel agent at time of booking.

Take a cruise to Whitehaven Beach, swim, relax or walk up the hill to enjoy the contrast of beautiful colours overlooking Hill Inlet. It’s no wonder this is one of Australia’s most photographed beaches. (see pages 14 and 15 for details)
