We're currently developing anevacuation mattress for infants andnewborns.
Almost any hospital around theworld has the same evacuationpolicy for babies. In an emergency, anurse wears an apron with largepockets that hold 2-3 babies. Thenthey proceed to evacuate. The nursemay flip and fall, which will injurethe babies. Once the babies areoutside, there is no place to putthem. You can't just lay themsomewhere outside.

Preventief from Hedel (The Netherlands)inspired us to develop this life-saving
device for little babies.
Preventief cares for fire safety in childcarecentres and they needed a evacuation toolthat carers would be comfortabel to use in
an emergency evacuation.

Fire safety in maternity centresAccording to United States Fire Administration, children under age 5 are twice as likely as therest of us to die in a fire. Children are our future and we want to share our concern about their
safety during fire situation. Evacuation drills must be conducted on a regular basis, and arecord of each fire drill must be maintained. The evacuation plan must be easily accessibleand visible in a conspicuous location. Primary emphasis must be placed on the immediate
evacuation of infants and newborns. Prevention and planning are key to protectingnewborns and infants. Your staff needs adequate equipment to assist them during an
emergency evacuation. S-CAPEKIDS enables one carer to evacuate four babies at once withvery little effort.
