In my years as an entrepreneur and professor, I’ve had the fortune of sitting down with leaders and students of every sort and listening to their stories. Stories of successes and setbacks, and everywhere in between. Although their goals and aspirations may be starkly different, what I’ve found is that they all share a fundamental conviction: They want to fulfill their potential. They want to bring out the best in their people, and the best in themselves. That conviction continues to inspire me, and I’ve made it my mission to do just that: help people make the most out of their talent. After years of research and testing, we’ve crafted a framework called Designing Talent that unleashes the innovation potential of Design Thinking on all aspects of leadership and talent development. Especially in fast-changing times like these, we often don‘t know how to approach and find answers to individual, team, or company challenges. What‘s needed is: a simple, yet reliable process for finding the best solution in any context. That is why we created ACE. It is the key to effective problem-solving, performance improvement, development, and learning.

The Talent Challenge

To learn the Designing Talent approach and apply the ACE process, you are invited to bring a talent challenge. Over the course of the program, you will work on your talent challenge and receive feedback from facilitators and peers. The talent challenge could be a personal, team, or company issue, a conflict, or challenges around topics such as motivation, empathy, communication skills, entrepreneurial mindset, digi- tization and change, and the like.

Meet Matthias, Facilitator of the Designing Talent Coach Certification Program

PROF. M AT TH IAS EHRHARDT

Professor Matthias Ehrhardt’s communication ap- proach is multidisciplinary, fun, and rooted in a loveof teaching. His expertise as a professor and success-ful entrepreneur allows him to speak for both worlds. He bridges the gap between the classroom and the boardroom and unifies their diverse ways of thinking and speaking into a single “talent language” that brings clarity and practicality.

Designing Talent is steeped in his first-class academicapproach to research. The insights from the seminarhave been measured and evaluated according to a procedure and critical review process supported by his training as a professor. Matthias has extensive experience in building up, restructuring, and grow- ing companies in diverse industries such as media,

design and branding, manufacturing, and high-tech. He is engaged in various businesses that focus on learning and performance. Matthias has served as an executive coach, consultant, and facilitator for talent development, communication skills, and en- trepreneurship at business schools and universities for more than 20 years.

Matthias is an alumnus of IESE Business School‘s AMP, Columbia Business School‘s CIBE, and Harvard Business School‘s Owners and Presidents Manage-ment Program (OPM). He has attended IESE‘s Interna-tional Faculty Program (IFP), the Columbia Coaching Certification Program (ECI/ACI), and is a founding fellow of the Institute of Coaching at McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate.
