PLEASE NOTE: This policy does not cover Medical or Cancellation/Curtailment claimsarising from either your or a close relative’s Pre-existing Medical Condition. Please read“Health Conditions” overleaf and the definition of a Pre-existing Medical Condition.

This is not a private medical insurance, treatment should always be soughtin a medical facility which is subject to a reciprocal health arrangement.

EXPLANATIONS &GUIDANCE

READ THIS FIRST: IMPORTANTEXPLANATIONS AND GUIDANCE

The insurer draws your attention to someimportant features of your travel insurancepolicy. If you would like more information,please contact Ryanair if you feel theinsurance may not meet your needs.

Health ConditionsYour policy excludes pre-existing medicalconditions known to you concerning thehealth of you, your relatives, your travellingcompanions, business partners, or anyonewhose ill health would force you to cancel orcut short your trip. Please read the definitionof a pre-existing medical condition below.

Reciprocal Health AgreementTravellers to European Union countries shouldcarry a European Health Insurance Card(EHIC) available from The Department ofHealth. This will entitle them to benefit fromthe reciprocal health agreements which existbetween certain European Countries. In theevent of a claim being accepted for medicalexpenses which has been reduced by the useof a European Health Insurance Card, orPrivate Health Insurance, the deduction of theexcess under Section B will not apply.

Property ClaimsThese claims are paid based on the value ofgoods at the time you lose them and not on a"new for old" or replacement cost basis. Anamount for wear, tear and depreciation willbe deducted. Certain items of personalproperty are not covered. Police reports arerequired for all losses involving theft andother losses require alternative appropriatereports, such as an Airline PropertyIrregularity Report, a Hotel Manager’s report,etc.

Policy DocumentYou should read this document carefully. Itgives you full details of what is and is notcovered and the conditions of the cover.Cover will vary from policy to policy andinsurer to insurer.

Conditions, Exclusions and WarrantiesConditions and exclusions will apply toindividual sections of your policy, whilegeneral exclusions and conditions will applyto the whole of your policy. It is a conditionof this policy that all material facts must bedisclosed at the time of taking out thisinsurance. Failure to do so may result in non-liability for claims.

Acceptable ActivitiesYou are automatically covered under themedical expenses sections of this policy,when you are participating in any of theAcceptable Sports and Leisure Activities listedin this policy. Any claims arising fromparticipating in any other activities not listedwill not be covered.

Personal LiabilityThere is no cover for Personal Liability claimsarising directly or indirectly from or due toownership, possession or use of anymotorised or mechanical vehicles includingany attached trailers or caravans, any aircraft(whatsoever), any watercraft or vessel (otherthan manually propelled watercraft or vessel)or any other form of motorised leisureequipment; or your participation in any sportor leisure activity not listed as an AcceptableSports and Leisure Activity.

Policy LimitsAll sections of your policy have limits on theamount the insurer will pay under thatsection. There are specific limits under thePersonal Effects and Baggage Section for:single items, valuables and items for whichan original receipt, proof of purchase or aninsurance valuation (obtained prior to loss) isnot supplied.

Policy ExcessesUnder most sections of the policy, claims willbe subject to an excess. The excess will beapplied per person, per section and perincident under which a claim is made. Thismeans that you will be responsible for the firstpart of the claim. The amount you have topay is the excess.

Reasonable Care / UnattendedPropertyYou must exercise reasonable care to preventillness, injury or loss or theft or damage toyour property, as if uninsured. There is nocover for property left unattended in a placeto which the general public has access. Thereis no cover for loss of money which was notcarried on your person unless placed in asafety deposit box or similar locked, fixedreceptacle.

Cooling Off PeriodWe hope you are happy with the cover thispolicy provides. However, if after reading thispolicy, this insurance does not meet with yourrequirements, please contact us within 14fourteen days of issue, and providing travelhas not taken place, we will refund yourpremium.

Providing you meet the criteria then yourtravel insurance refund request will beprocessed to the original form of paymentwithin 7 working days of receipt of your e-mail.

Please note the 14 day cooling off perioddoes not apply in the following countries –France, Italy, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden,Norway, Finland and Czech Republic.

Governing LawYour policy is governed by English Law,unless you and the insurer have agreedotherwise.

Complaints ProcedureIf you have any cause for complaint

regarding this insurance, please refer to thecomplaints procedure.

Manual EmploymentYou will not be covered for any claim arisingfrom any manual employment, except barwork and fruit picking (not involving the useof agricultural machinery at ground level).

Driving AbroadCover under the medical expenses section ofthis policy is extended to include claimsarising as a consequence of you travelling asa driver or passenger in any private motorvehicle or motorcycle up to 125cc. It shouldbe noted that no coverage exists under thepersonal liability section of this policy forclaims arising out of the use or possession ofa motorised vehicle. Therefore, you are urgedto seek confirmation from the vehicle owneror hirer that this area of coverage isadequately provided for under an alternativeinsurance policy.

Travel PlusIf you have paid for Travel Plus (Gadget andScheduled Airline Failure Insurance) thecover, terms and conditions are detailedseparately at the end of this document.

RYANAIR TRAVEL INSURANCE -THE MEANING OF WORDS Any word defined below will have the samemeaning wherever it is shown in your policy.We have listed the definitions in alphabeticalorder.

Accident, AccidentalA sudden, unexpected, unusual, specific,violent, external event, which occurs at asingle identifiable time and place andindependently of all other causes, resultingdirectly, immediately and solely in physicalbodily injury which results in a loss.

Act of TerrorismAn act, including but not limited to the use offorce or violence and/or the threat thereof,of any person or group(s) of persons, whetheracting alone, or on behalf of, or inconnection with any organisation(s) orgovernment(s), committed for political,religious, ideological or similar purposesincluding the intention to influence anygovernment and/or to put the public, or anysection of the public, in fear.

Acceptable Sports & Leisure ActivitiesAcceptable sports and leisure activities areautomatically included within the cover whenparticipating on an amateur basis. The full listof acceptable activities is outlined in theappendix of this policy document.

Appointed AdviserThe solicitor or appropriately qualifiedperson, firm or company, who is chosen toact for you in your claim for compensation.

Cancellation CostsIrrecoverable travel and accommodationexpenses paid or contracted to be paid byyou in respect of your trip (excluding AirportDeparture Duty, or similar tax, whereseparately identified, credit card oradministration charges).

Certificate

An Insurance validation certificate andRyanair booking itinerary, which togethervalidate and activate this insurance wording.

Close Business Associate A person employed by the same business asyou in your country of residence, whoseabsence from work or place of employmentfor one or more complete days at the sametime as you, prevents the effectivecontinuation of that business.

Common-Law Partner(s)Any couple (including same sex couple) in acommon-law relationship, or who have co-habited for at least 6 months.

Country of ResidenceThe country in which you live for the majorityof the calendar year.

Curtailment CostsTravel costs necessarily incurred to return youhome before the booked return date and apro-rata amount representing the total pre-paid or contracted costs of accommodation,car hire and excursions attributable to eachcomplete day which is not spent overseasexcluding all costs attributable to the outwardand return travel tickets, whether used orunused.

ExcessThe first amount you, and each personnamed on the insurance certificate, haveagreed to pay towards a claim under eachSection of this policy.

HomeYour usual place of residence where you livefor more than six months of the calendaryear.

InsurerUK General Insurance (Ireland) Limited

Legal ActionWork carried out to support a claim that theinsurer has agreed to. This includes settlementnegotiations, hearings in a Civil Court,arbitration and any appeals resulting fromthese hearings, but not any applications youmake:• To the European Court of Justice,

European Court of Human Rights or asimilar international organisation; or

• To enforce a Judgment or legally bindingdecision.

Legal CostsFees or related expenses (including VAT orthe equivalent local goods and services tax)the insurers agree to pay in connection withyour legal action.

Any costs which you are ordered to pay bya Court or arbitrator.

Material FactAny fact which is known to you, which islikely to influence the insurer in theacceptance or assessment of this insurance.

Medical PractitionerA registered practicing member of themedical profession who is not related to youor any person with whom you are travelling.

MoneyBank and currency notes and coins andcheques.

Period of Insurance for a Single Trip The trip duration, as shown in your certificate.Cover under the cancellation section of yourpolicy, starts from the date the certificate isissued and ends at the start of your trip.The cover under all other sections of yourpolicy, starts at your trip departure and endson your return home or expiry of the policy,whichever is first.

Personal EffectsLuggage, clothing, valuables and personalitems which are owned by you and havebeen either taken on the trip, or purchasedduring the course of the trip.

Excluding: antiques, any property held orused for any business or professionalpurposes, bicycles, binoculars, bonds,coupons, documents of any kind, money,securities, keys or key-fobs, stamps, ortravellers cheques, cellular or mobile phones,computer and telecommunication equipmentof any kind (with the exception of iPods/MP3players), computer games, all audio and allaudio visual equipment and their accessoriesand handheld computers (e.g. PalmPilot. IPad, Kindle Devices), contact or corneallenses, diving equipment, furs, musicalinstruments, satellite navigation devices,spectacles, sunglasses.

PolicyYour certificate, including the schedule ofbenefits, this policy wording and anyendorsements.

Pre-existing Medical ConditionAny medical condition which has beensuffered, or for which medical advice,treatment or medication has been receivedduring a period of 24 months prior to thedate of issue of this policy.

Public TransportA train, bus, coach, ferry service orscheduled airline flight operating to apublished timetable to join the booked travelitinerary.

Redundancy, RedundantBecoming unemployed within the definitionsof the UK Employment Protection Act. Youmust have been given a Notice ofRedundancy and be receiving payment underthe current redundancy payments legislation.

RelativeBrother, brother-in-law, common law partner,daughter, daughter-in-law, fiancé(e),grandchild, legal guardian, parent, parent-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, son, son-in-law, orspouse who live in your country of residence.

ResidentYou have permanently resided within yourcountry of residence for more than six monthsof the year prior to the time of arranging thisinsurance and at the time of your departure.

Serious Illness or Serious InjuryAny illness or injury which severely restrictsyour mobility, or which results in you beingan in-patient in a hospital for more than 48hours.

Single Article, Pair or Set of ArticlesAny single article, two or more items ofpersonal effects which are complementary orcan be used or worn together.

Sports EquipmentThose items which are usually worn, carried,used or held during participation in asporting activity).

Trip, Trip DurationA journey which begins when you leave yourhome and ends on your return, during theperiod of insurance, to either

• your home, or• a hospital or nursing home in your

country of residence, following yourrepatriation.

UnattendedMeans when you are not in full view of andnot in a position to prevent unauthorisedinterference with your property or vehicle.

ValuablesAnimal skins, articles made of, or containinggold, silver or other precious metals,cameras, jewellery, leather goods,photographic equipment, precious or semi-precious stones, silks, telescopes, watches.

CLAIMS PROCEDURE

HOSPITAL TREATMENT ABROADIf you are admitted to hospital you mustcontact One Assist immediately on 00 441992 454271. If you do not, this couldmean that we will not provide cover or wewill reduce the amount we pay for medicalexpenses.

While you are away

Note: You must retain all receipts for medical& additional costs incurred and you areresponsible for any policy excess and thisshould be paid by you at the time oftreatment.

Returning early to your country ofresidenceIf you have to return to your country ofresidence under Section A (Cancellation &Curtailment) or B (Emergency Medical andTreatment Expenses), the 24 hour medicalemergency service must authorise this. If theydo not, this could mean that we will notprovide cover or we may reduce the amountwe pay for your return to your country ofresidence. The 24 hour medical emergencyservice reserve the right to repatriate youshould our medical advisors view you asbeing fit to travel, if you refuse to berepatriated then all cover under this policywill cease. The 24 hour medical emergencyservice may be contacted from anywhere inthe world to provide assistance to you.

When you return home – making aclaim If you need to make a claim, please obtain aclaim form from the Ryanair travel insurancewebsite no later than 31 days after the event.

When returning the claim form, pleaseinclude all relevant documentation as outlinedin the Claims Evidence section of this policydocument.

SECTION A: CANCELLATION ANDCURTAILMENT

What is covered:The insurer will pay up to the amount shownin the schedule of benefits, for yourproportion of the cancellation costs, orcurtailment costs which you have paid or youare contractually obliged to pay and whichyou cannot recover from any source, if it isnecessary and unavoidable to cancel or cutshort your trip as a result of:

a. Death, serious injury or illness during theperiod of insurance of: • you, or• a person you are travelling with, or• a relative, or• a close business associate who lives• in your country of residence, or• a friend or relative who lives abroad,

with whom you were staying.b. You, or the person you are travelling

with:• being required in your country of

residence for jury service or as awitness in a court of law, or

• being placed under compulsoryquarantine, or

• being required to be present by thepolice, as a result of your, or theirhome or usual place of business inyour country of residence sufferinga burglary within seven days beforethe start of your trip

• suffering accidental damage to your,or their home that renders the homeuninhabitable, within seven daysbefore the start of your trip.

• being made redundant, providingyou qualify for redundancy paymentunder current redundancy legislation

• being posted overseas or receivingemergency requirements of duty inthe Armed Forces, Police, Fire,Nursing or Ambulance Services.

What is not covered:The insurer will not pay for the following inaddition to the general exclusions, inconnection with claims made under SectionA:

a. the excess as shown in the Schedule ofBenefits.

b. any claim for curtailment which has notbeen approved by the MedicalEmergency Assistance service prior toyour return to your country of residence

c. the cost of Airport Departure Duty, orsimilar tax, where separately identified.

d. any claim which is not supported bywritten medical confirmation and clinicalreports from medical service providers,as well as other proof of the happeningof an event causing you to cancel or cutshort your trip.

e. any costs which you have paid or youare contractually obliged to pay, if yourtrip is cancelled for the followingreasons:• claims arising directly or indirectly

as a result of a pre-existing medicalcondition relating to you, yourtravelling companion, a relative orclose business associate of yours oryour travelling companion, or theperson with whom you havearranged to stay whilst on the trip.

• the person whose medical conditiongiving rise to the claim:q is travelling for the purpose of

having medical treatmentduring the trip duration, or

q is travelling against the adviceof a medical practitioner, or

q has received a terminalprognosis by a registered doctorbefore taking out this policy, or

q is on a hospital waiting list, orq is awaiting the results of

medical investigations.• you have failed to have any

recommended vaccines,inoculations or medications prior toyour trip.

• you have failed to get the relevant

passport or visa.• unlawful or criminal proceedings are

instigated against you, or a personyou are travelling with.

• redundancy, which is not notifiedduring the period of insurance.

• your disinclination to travel for anyreason, including phobias, anxietyor stress.

• your personal financialcircumstances, other than you beingmade redundant during the periodof insurance, having received noticeof redundancy after the date uponwhich the certificate was issued.

• your late arrival at the airport or portafter check in or booking in time

f. any costs in respect of the following:• any claims arising directly, or

indirectly from the cancellation orcurtailment of travel arrangements,in any way caused by, or contributedto by any order or recommendationissued by a government, public orlocal authority. This includes, but isnot limited to, orders orrecommendations issued by any civilor federal aviation authority.

• loss of air passenger duty.• unused timeshare property, air-miles

or other benefits or promotions ofthis nature.

• your loss of enjoyment of the trip,however caused.

• your failure to advise us of anymaterial fact prior to the issue of thecertificate or prior to your departureon your trip.

• unused portions of your originalticket, where repatriation has beenmade.

• your travel expenses for you to returnto your country of residence, if youdo not already possess pre-paidreturn travel tickets.

• any cancellation or curtailmentcosts, which the insurer would nothave had to pay, had you notifiedthe travel agent, tour operator or

provider of transport oraccommodation immediately afteryou knew you would be cancelling orcurtailing your trip.

• any costs incurred as a result ofrepairs to your private motor vehicle.

• any claim resulting from you, or aperson you are travelling with beingposted overseas or receiving anemergency requirement of duty,following an act of war, invasion orterrorism

• failure in provision of the bookeditinerary including error, omission ordefault by the provider of any serviceforming part of the booked itinerary.

SPECIAL CONDITION:Curtailment must be authorised by theAssistance Company and in all circumstancesconfirmation from the Assistance Companythat IT IS MEDICALLY NECESSARY THATYOU CURTAIL YOUR TRIP will be requiredprior to incurring curtailment costs. If youcurtail your trip due to an illness or death ofa third party, family member or relative, thenyou must also contact the AssistanceCompany for authorisation of any curtailmentcosts; otherwise your claim may be declined.You must always take all reasonable steps tokeep your costs to a minimum.

SECTION B: MEDICAL EXPENSES

What is covered:If you become ill or are injured during thetrip, the insurer will pay up to the amountshown in the Schedule of Benefits for:

a. Medical and treatment expenses• reasonable medical, surgical and

hospital expenses incurred outsideyour country of residence

• emergency dental treatment incurredoutside your country of residencesolely for the immediate relief ofpain, up to £200.

b. Funeral and Repatriation expenses. Ifyou die during the trip, the insurer willpay for the following:• the funeral expenses in the country

where your death occurs up to£3,000, providing that it is not yourcountry of residence, or

• the cost of returning your body orashes home to your country ofresidence.

c. Travel and accommodation expenses• reasonable additional travel and

room-only accommodation expensesincurred by you and one persontravelling with you, as a result of youreceiving medical advice from theinsurer's medical advisors that youroriginally planned return journeyhome to your country of residence isimpossible due to medical reasons.The most that the insurer will pay foraccommodation costs is £1,000 perperson.

What is not covered:The insurer will not pay for the following, inaddition to the general exclusions, in respectof claims made under Section B:

a. the excess, as shown in the Schedule ofBenefits.

b. any costs or expenses, if you have notadvised the Medical EmergencyAssistance service and received theiragreement to these costs, in the event ofyou:• dying, or• incurring medical or treatment

expenses, or• being involved in an accident, or• being admitted to hospital, or• curtailing your trip due to medical

reasons. • missing your flight due to medical

reasons.c. the costs of telephone calls or taxi fares,

unless these have been approved by theMedical Emergency Assistance service.

d. claims arising directly, or indirectly as aresult of your pre-existing medicalcondition.

e. any medical, hospital or treatmentexpenses incurred in your country ofresidence.

f. any medical or treatment expenses, orfuneral, or repatriation expensesincurred as a result of participating inany activities other than those specifiedas Acceptable Sports & Leisure Activities.

g. any medical, hospital, treatment, funeralor repatriation expenses if you:• have received a terminal prognosis

by a registered doctor, before takingout this policy, or

• are travelling for the purpose ofobtaining medical treatment, or

• are travelling against the advice of• a medical practitioner, or• are on a hospital waiting list, or• are awaiting the results of medical

investigations.h. any medical, hospital or treatment

expenses, which in the opinion of theinsurer's medical advisors, are notessential, or can be reasonably delayeduntil your return home to your country ofresidence.

i. any costs arising from you arranging asingle or private accommodation roomin a hospital, clinic or nursing home.

j. dental treatment which is not solely forthe purpose of relieving immediate painor suffering.

k. any medical, hospital or treatmentexpenses, which have not beenauthorised at the time by a recognisedregistered medical practitioner

l. any medical, hospital or treatmentexpenses, which you have incurred afteryou have refused the offer of repatriationwhen, in the opinion of the insurer'smedical advisors, you are fit to travel.

m. any physiotherapy or associated treatmentcosts, if they are not part of an on-goingtreatment programme for a serious injury,which in the opinion of the insurer'smedical advisors, cannot be reasonablydelayed until your return home

n. non-continuous treatmento. any up-grades from economy class

travel, unless the insurers medicaladvisors specify this to be necessary onmedical grounds.

p. any costs or expenses if you do not havea pre-paid return ticket to your country ofresidence at the start of your trip.

q. any medication or drugs which youknow you will need at the start of the trip.

r. the cost of any treatment or surgery,including exploratory tests, which are notdirectly related to the illness or injury, forwhich you went into hospital or clinicabroad.

s. loss, or damage to false dentures, falselimbs or other prosthetics, hearing aids,contact or corneal lenses or prescriptionspectacles.

t. Any medical expenses or costs incurredmore than 12 months after the date ofaccident or illness causing the expense.

SECTION C: HOSPITAL BENEFIT

What is covered:The insurer will pay you the amount shown inthe Schedule of Benefits, for every complete24 hours you spend in a hospital abroad asan in-patient during your trip, as a directresult of you suffering accidental injury orillness, which is covered under Section B ofthis policy.

What is not covered:The insurer will not pay for the following, inaddition to the general exclusions, inconnection with claims made under SectionC, if you:

• are an in-patient at a hospital orclinic in your country of residence.

• are not receiving continuoustreatment.

• are an in-patient at a hospital orclinic, which has not beenauthorised and arranged by theMedical Emergency Assistanceservice.

SECTION D: PERSONAL EFFECTS,TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION ANDDELAYED BAGGAGE

What is covered:a. Personal Effects and BaggageThe insurer will pay for accidental loss, theft

of or damage to your personal effects andbaggage, subject to the provision of a writtenauthoritative report confirming the loss, theftor damage, up to the amount shown in theSchedule of Benefits. The insurer will deductthe following amounts, for each item, inrespect of wear and tear:

c. Baggage DelayThe insurer will pay for the purchase ofemergency replacement clothing, medicationand toiletries, up to the amount shown in theSchedule of Benefits, if your personal effectsare delayed or lost in transit on your outwardjourney for more than 24 hours.

What is not covered: The insurer will not pay for the following inaddition to the general exclusions, inconnection with claims made under SectionD:

a. the excess as shown in the Schedule ofBenefits.

b. claims for theft of your personal effectsand baggage, if you have not notifiedthe police within 24 hours of itsdiscovery and obtained a written report,which includes the crime referencenumber.

c. claims arising from theft occurring inyour hotel room or apartment, unlessforcible and violent entry into or fromyour hotel room or apartment hasoccurred.

d. more than £50 per single item, up to amaximum of £150 in total for any oneclaim, if you are unable to provide theoriginal receipt, proof of purchase or aninsurance valuation, which was obtainedprior to the loss.

e. any claim if the loss, damage or theftoccurs during a journey or whilst in thecustody of an airline or other carrier, andyou have not notified the carrier or theirhandling agent of the incident andobtained an official report or a PropertyIrregularity Report (PIR).

f. wear, tear, or depreciation.g. loss, theft or damage arising from the

delay, detention, seizure or confiscationby Customs or other officials.

h. damage caused by the leakage ofpowder, liquid or any other substancecarried within your personal effects orbaggage.

i. any breakage of fragile articles, unlessthe breakage is caused by fire or anaccident involving the vehicle in whichyou are being carried.

j. claims arising for loss, theft or damageto prams or buggies, wheelchairs, pedalcycles, motor vehicles, satellitenavigation equipment, marineequipment, diving equipment,watercraft, surfboards, sailboards, ortheir related accessories, sportsequipment.

k. damage to, or loss or theft of yourpersonal effects or baggage, if they havebeen left:• unattended, in a public place, or• in the custody of a person who does

not have an official responsibility forthe safekeeping of the property, or

• in an unattended motor vehicle,unless they have been taken from alocked boot between 8am-8pm localtime and there is evidence of forcedentry, which is confirmed by a policereport.

• loss or damage to sports equipment,whilst in use.

• loss, theft or damage to:• anything being shipped as freight or

under a Bill of Lading; or

• dentures, bridgework, artificial limbsor hearing aids of any kind; or

• items being carried on a vehicle roofrack.

l. loss, theft or damage to valuables, whichat the time of such loss, theft or damagewere located in checked-in luggage, orin an unattended motor vehicle.

m. valuables stolen at any time whilst intransit, unless you are carrying them ashand luggage.

n. any claim for baggage delay if youcannot supply receipts for the emergencyreplacement clothing, medication andtoiletries purchased and writtenconfirmation from the carrier as to thelength of delay.

SECTION E: PERSONAL MONEY

What is covered:The insurer will pay for the loss or theft ofyour money and travellers cheques duringyour trip, whilst being carried on yourperson, or whilst left in a safe or safetydeposit box in your trip accommodation, upto the amount shown in the Schedule ofBenefits.

What is not covered:The insurer will not pay for the following, inaddition to the general exclusions, inconnection with claims made under Section E:

• the excess as shown in the Scheduleof Benefits.

• any loss or theft of money, if youhave not notified the police within24 hours of its discovery andobtained a written report, whichincludes the crime reference number.

• loss or theft of travellers cheques, ifthe issuer provides a replacementservice.

• depreciation in value, currencychanges or shortage caused by anyerror or omission.

• loss or damage arising from delay,seizure, confiscation or detention byCustoms, or other officials.

SECTION F1: TRAVEL DELAY

What is covered:The insurer will pay you the amount shown inthe Schedule of Benefits, if your planned firstoutward international flight from your homein your country of residence, or your finalinbound international flight to your home inyour country of residence is delayed indeparture for 12 hours or more due to:

• strike, or• industrial action, or• adverse weather conditions, or• mechanical breakdown of, or

derangement of, the scheduledpublic transport on which you arebooked to travel.

SECTION F2: HOLIDAY ABANDONMENTWhat is covered:The insurer will pay, up to the amount shownin the Schedule of Benefits, for travel andaccommodation expenses, which you havepaid or for which you are contractuallyobliged to pay and which you cannot recoverfrom any source:

a. if your holiday or journey is necessarilycancelled following a delay of 24 hoursor more from the scheduled departuretime due to:• strike, or• industrial action, or• adverse weather conditions, or• mechanical breakdown of, or

derangement of, the scheduledpublic transport on which you arebooked to travel.

What is not covered:The insurer will not pay the following, inaddition to the general exclusions, inconnection with claims made under SectionF1 & F2:

a. the excess as shown in the Schedule ofBenefits.

b. any compensation if you have notobtained written confirmation from theairline, railway or shipping company ortheir handling agents, which shows the

reason for the delay or cancellation ofyour holiday, the scheduled departuretime and the actual departure time ofyour flight, rail journey or sailing, ifapplicable.

c. any claim arising from your failure tocheck-in as per your original itinerary

d. any delay which is due to strike orindustrial action which had started, orwas announced before you took out thispolicy.

e. compensation under both the traveldelay and holiday abandonmentsections of this policy.

f. any claims arising directly, or indirectlyfrom the delay of travel arrangements, inany way caused by, or contributed to byany order or recommendation issued bya government, public or local authority.This includes, but is not limited to, ordersor recommendations issued by any civilor federal aviation authority.

g. any additional compensation underSection G.

SECTION G: MISSED DEPARTURE

What is covered:The insurer will pay you, up to the amountshown in the Schedule of Benefits, forreasonable additional accommodation andtravel expenses, if you arrive at your lastdeparture point from your country ofresidence, or the last departure point for yourreturn trip to your country of residence, toolate to board your booked flight, as a resultof the following:

a. scheduled public transport servicesfailing to get you to your destination intime due to strike, industrial action,adverse weather conditions ormechanical breakdown.

b. the private motor vehicle in which youwere travelling suffering from amechanical breakdown or failure.

c. the private motor vehicle in which youwere travelling being directly involved ina road traffic accident, which resulted inmechanical breakdown or failure.

a. the excess as shown in the Schedule ofBenefits.

b. any upgrade in accommodation.c. any claim arising as a result of you not

having taken reasonable steps tocomplete the journey to the departurepoint on time.

d. any claim, if the adverse weather, strikeor industrial action was in existence orpublicly declared before you started yourjourney to the departure point.

e. any claim in respect of mechanicalbreakdown or failure, if your privatemotor vehicle has not been properlyserviced and maintained.

f. any repair costs to your private motorvehicle.

g. any claims for vehicle breakdown orfailure, which are not substantiated by awritten report from a rescue service orproperly qualified and commerciallyestablished provider of garage services.

h. any additional compensation underSections F1 or F2.

SECTION H: TRAVEL DISRUPTION

What is covered:The insurer will pay you the amount shown inthe Schedule of Benefits If Ryanair or itsauthorised agent advise you that your firstoutward or final return flight is to becancelled due to the flight being delayed forin excess of four hours, the underwriter willpay you, up to the amount shown on theSchedule of Benefits, for any travel expensesand subsequent accommodation expensesyou incur in purchasing alternative transport,either by air, sea, rail or road, to completethis trip.

What is not covered:The Insurer will not pay for the following inaddition to the general exclusions on page inconnection with claims made:

a. Any compensation in respect of travelarrangements, if you have not got writtenconfirmation from Ryanair or itsauthorised agent, which shows thereason for the delay, the scheduleddeparture time, the expected duration ofthe delay of your flight or full details ofany refund given in respect of an unusedflight

b. Any compensation if you have chosen touse the flight ticket, relating to the first orfinal outward flight that has beencancelled, at a later date for a totallyseparate trip

c. Any delay which is due to strike orindustrial action which had started orwas announced before you took out thispolicy

d. Any compensation for a flightcancellation, which is not due to a delayof in excess of four hours

e. Compensation under more than one ofthe ‘Travel Delay’, ‘Travel Disruption’ and‘Holiday Abandonment’ sections of thispolicy

f. Your failure to check-in according to theitinerary supplied to you

g. Any claims arising directly, or indirectlyfrom the delay of travel arrangements, inany way caused by, or contributed to byany order or recommendation issued bya government, public or local authority.This includes, but is not limited to, ordersor recommendations issued by any civilor federal aviation authority.

Any compensation which is payable, willtake into account any refund you havereceived from Ryanair or its authorised agentin respect of any unused flight.

SECTION I: PERSONAL LIABILITY

What is covered:The insurer will pay you or your personalrepresentatives all reasonable and necessarycosts up to the limit shown in the schedule ofbenefits if you accidentally injure someone ordamage someone else's property, providedit does not belong to a member of yourfamily, and you are legally liable.

a. the excess as shown in the Schedule ofBenefits.

b. claims arising directly or indirectly from,happening through or in consequenceof:• contractual liability, employer’s

liability, or liability to a member ofyour family, your travellingcompanions family, or to yourtravelling companion, or

• animals belonging to you, or in yourcare, custody or control; or

• wilful, malicious or unlawful acts, orthe use of firearms or weapons ofany kind; or

• the pursuit of trade, business orprofession; or

• ownership or occupation of land orbuildings, other than occupationonly of any temporary residence forthe purpose of your holiday; or

• the influence of intoxicating liquor ordrugs.

c. any liability, injury, loss or damagearising directly or indirectly from or dueto ownership, possession or use of anymotorised or mechanical vehicles,including any attached trailers orcaravans, any aircraft (whatsoever), anywatercraft or vessel (other than manuallypropelled watercraft or vessel) or anyother form of motorised leisureequipment.

d. claims for legal fees and costs resultingfrom any criminal proceedings

e. any claim where your liability is coveredunder any other policy

f. any personal liability claim, which arisesdirectly, or indirectly as a result of youparticipating in any activities other thanthose specified as Acceptable Sports &Leisure Activities.

g. fines of exemplary damages (fines thataim to punish the person responsible,

rather than awarding compensation tothe victim) you have to pay

h. compensation or legal costs arisingdirectly or indirectly from the transition ofany infectious or contagious disease orvirus.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:You or your personal representatives must tellus as soon as you or your personalrepresentatives are aware of a possible legalclaim, prosecution, inquest or injury, whichmight lead to a claim under this section.

You or your personal representatives must notnegotiate, pay, admit or deny any liability toanyone else, without first getting the writtenpermission of the insurers.

SECTION J: LEGAL EXPENSES

What is covered: The Insurer will pay you or your personalrepresentative up to the amount as shown inthe Schedule of Benefits, to have anappointed adviser take legal action againstthird parties (excluding any member of yourfamily, or your travelling companion’s family,your travelling companion, business partneror employer) for any compensation owed toyou arising directly from physical bodilyinjury to you, or your death during the periodof insurance.

What is not covered:The insurer will not pay for the following, inaddition to the general exclusions, inconnection with claims made under SectionJ:

a. the excess as shown in the Schedule ofCover.

b. legal expenses incurred without priorauthorisation from the Insurer.

c. claims arising where the Insurerconsiders your prospects of success inachieving a reasonable benefit to beinsufficient.

d. claims where legal costs and expensesare based directly or indirectly on theamount of an award.

e. claims arising for travel andaccommodation expenses, whilst inpursuit of a legal action.

f. claims arising from your pursuing legalproceedings as part of, and/or onbehalf of a group or organisationand/or as part of a class action.

g. costs incurred in pursuance of any claimagainst the Insurer, the claims handler,the assistance company, the placingbroker or Ryanair.

h. claims occurring under criminal law.i. where there is a possibility of a claim

being brought in more than one country,the insurer shall not be liable for costs ifan action is brought in more than onecountry.

j. any claim for legal costs where you arepursuing legal action relating directly, orindirectly to medical negligence, oralleged medical negligence.

k. any claims reported more than 90 daysafter the commencement of the incidentgiving rise to such claims.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS:Prior to incurring any legal expenses theinsured should contact the ClaimsDepartment, in order to supply full details ofthe circumstances surrounding the potentialclaim.

You must comply with the followingprocedures when making a claimunder section J:You shall apply to the insurer for awritten acknowledgement by theinsurer of the existence of a potentiallyviable claim. The insurer shall not beresponsible for any legal expensesincurred prior to its issuing you with awritten acknowledgement of theexistence of a potentially viable claim.In the event that you are awardedcompensation (by judgment orsettlement), the insurer shall beentitled to recover from you, or onbehalf of you, any sum paid to youunder any section of this policy onaccount of the same incident for whichcompensation is received.

You must carry out your claim inwhatever way the appointed advisersuggests.You must keep us and the appointedadviser fully aware of all facts andcorrespondence you receive, includingany claims settlement offers you aremade.You should not reply to anycorrespondence from anyone elseabout your claim without our writtenpermission.

GENERAL EXCLUSIONS WHICH APPLYTO ALL SECTIONS OF THE INSURANCE This insurance does not cover:

1. Any claims for travel outside yourcountry of residence arising directly orindirectly from a pre-existing medicalcondition

2. Claims, (irrespective of your destination),arising directly or indirectly from you oranyone else upon whom your tripdepends; a. travelling or acting against medical

advice b. awaiting results of tests or medical

investigations c. being on a hospital waiting list for

treatment d. having received a terminal

prognosis e. suffering from anxiety, stress or

depression (unless admitted as an in-patient)

f. failing to disclose a material fact atthe time your policy commences andthroughout the period of insurance.

3. Which are claims in any way caused orcontributed to by: a. the failure of; or b. the fear of the failure of; or c. the inability of any equipment or any

computer programme to recognise,interpret correctly or process anydate as its true calendar date or tocontinue to function correctlybeyond that date other than for loss,damage, expenses or consequentialloss not otherwise excluded whichitself results from the operation of aninsured cause.

4. Any claims directly or indirectly causedby, occasioned by, resulting from or inconnection with any of the followingregardless of any other cause or eventcontributing concurrently or in any othersequence to the claim: a. act of terrorism; or b. nuclear detonation, reaction,

nuclear radiation or contamination,

howsoever such nuclear detonation,reaction, nuclear radiation orradioactive contamination may havebeen caused; or

c. war, invasion or warlike operations(whether war be declared or not),hostile acts of sovereign orgovernment entities, civil war,rebellion, revolution, insurrection,civil commotion assuming theproportions of or amounting to anuprising, military or usurped poweror martial law or confiscation byorder of any government or publicauthority; or

d. seizure or illegal occupation; or e. confiscation, requisition, detention,

legal or illegal occupation,embargo, quarantine, or any resultof any order of public orgovernment authority whichdeprives you of the use or value ofyour property, nor for loss ordamage arising from acts ofcontraband or illegal transportationor illegal trade; or

f. discharge of pollutants orcontaminants, which pollutants andcontaminants shall include but notlimited to any solid, liquid, gaseousor thermal irritant, contaminant ortoxic or hazardous substance or anysubstance the presence, existence orrelease of which endangers orthreatens to endanger the health,safety or welfare of persons or theenvironment; or

g. chemical or biological release orexposure of any kind; or

h. attacks by electronic meansincluding computer hacking or theintroduction of any form of computervirus; or

i. threat or hoax, in the absence ofphysical damage due to an act ofterrorism; or

j. any action taken in controlling,preventing, suppressing or in anyway relating to any act of terrorism.

k. prohibitive regulations by thegovernment of any country.

l. the tour operator, coach operator,transport company or hotel: - causing a delay in the

commencement of the holiday - levying a surcharge, thus

increasing the basic brochureprice of the holiday.

m. failure to notify the hotel or holidayestablishment, or tour operator ortravel agent or booking agent orprovider of transport immediately itis found necessary to cancel orcurtail the travel arrangements.

5. Any claims arising directly or indirectlyfrom you travelling against ForeignOffice (or any government body) adviceor where it is deemed unsafe for you totravel.

6. Any claims arising directly or indirectlyfrom you travelling against any healthrequirements stipulated by the carrier,their handling agents or any other publictransport provider.

7. Any claims arising directly or indirectlyfrom loss or destruction of, or damage toany property whatsoever, or any loss orexpense whatsoever resulting in orarising there from, or any consequentialloss or any legal liability of whatsoevernature, directly or indirectly caused by orcontributed to, or arising from: a. ionising radiation or contamination

by radioactivity from any nuclearfuel, or from any nuclear waste fromburning of nuclear fuel, or

b. the radioactive, toxic, explosive orother hazardous properties of anyexplosive nuclear assembly ornuclear component thereof.

8. Any claims arising directly or indirectlyfrom you engaging in any illegal orcriminal act.

9. Any claims arising directly or indirectlyfrom any unlawful act or criminalproceedings against the insured, or anyother person on whom the holiday plansdepend except this exclusion shall notapply in the event of your obligation toattend a Court of Law under subpoenaas a witness, unless such obligation toattend falls within your occupational,

professional or other similar capacity. 10. Any claims arising directly or indirectly

from any consequential loss whatsoever(claims shall only be paid for those losseswhich are specifically stated under theterms of this policy, except as providedin Section D, relating to loss of traveldocuments).

11. Any claims arising directly or indirectlyout of your financial incapacity otherthan redundancy.

12. Any claims which, but for the existenceof this policy, would be covered underany other insurance policy (policies),including any amounts recovered by youfrom:a. private health insurance; or b. EHIC payments; or c. any reciprocal health agreements;

or d. airlines; or e. hotels; or f. home contents insurers; or g. any other recovery by you;h. exercising your rights under any EU

regulations or similar. 13. Any claims arising directly or indirectly

from the tour operator, airline or anyother company, firm or person eitherbecoming insolvent or being unable to orunwilling to fulfil any part of theirobligation.

14. Any claims arising directly or indirectlyfrom your death, serious injury or illnessas a result of participating in any activityon your trip other than those listed asAcceptable Sports & Activities

15. Any claims arising directly or indirectlyfrom: a. wilful, self inflicted injury or illness;

or b. committing or attempting to commit

suicide; or c. wilful exposure to danger, except in

an attempt to save a human life; or d. solvent abuse; or e. being under the influence of alcohol

drug addiction; or f) a failure toobtain any recommended vaccines,inoculations or medications prior toyour trip departure; or

f. sexually transmitted diseases; or g. Acquired Immune Deficiency

syndrome (AIDS); or h. HIV (Human Immunodeficiency

Virus) and/or any HIV related illnessand/or any mutant derivative orvariations thereof.

16. Any claims arising directly or indirectlyfrom anxiety, stress or depression; exceptwhere previously undiagnosed at thetime you took out this policy.

17. Any claims arising directly or indirectlyfrom you entering into, exiting from anaircraft or descending from an aircraft;which is not a fully licensed passengercarrying aircraft in which you aretravelling as a passenger or a memberof the crew for the purpose ofundertaking any trade or technicaloperation therein or thereon.

18. Any claims arising directly or indirectlyfrom your wilful exposure to peril. Youmust exercise reasonable care to preventillness, injury or loss or damage to yourproperty as if uninsured.

19. Any claims arising directly or indirectlyfrom you being engaged in anyemployment during your trip unlessagreed by us and any additionalpremium paid.

20. Any claims which have not been provenand the amount of the claimsubstantiated.

21. Claims for loss of enjoyment, howevercaused.

22. Any loss whereby any period ofdisability or loss whatsoever is increasedthrough your own act or omission.

23. Third party rights and no party other thanyou may claim benefit under the terms ofthis insurance.

24. Failure in provision of any part of thebooked itinerary including error,omission, or default by the provider ofany service forming part of the bookeditinerary.

25. Any claims arising directly or indirectlyfrom you engaging in any manual workexcept those defined under AcceptableSports & Leisure Activities.

26. Any claim arising from routine treatmentor care which could have beenreasonably expected to arise during yourperiod of insurance.

27. Any claim arising from closure ofairspace as a result of volcanic ash.

GENERAL CONDITIONS WHICH APPLYTO YOUR WHOLE POLICY 1. It is a condition that all material facts

have been disclosed to us. Failure to doso may affect your rights under thisinsurance. Following a change inmaterial fact disclosed to us by youduring the period of insurance, wereserve the right to amend or cancel yourinsurance, providing you with a pro-ratarefund of premium. If you are in anydoubt as to whether a fact is 'material',then for your own protection it should bedisclosed to us.

2. You must tell us as soon as possibleabout any change in risk which affectsyour policy, including you, a person youare travelling with, a close businessassociate or relative receivingconfirmation of a medical condition orcurrently being under medicalinvestigation, a change in the sporting orleisure activities you intend to participatein during your trip or any additionalperson(s) to be insured under the policy.We have the right to reassess your policyand premium after you have advised usof any relevant information. If you do notadvise us of all the relevant information,we may quote the wrong terms, reject orreduce your claim, or your policy maybecome invalid.

3. If your cover does not meet yourrequirements, please notify us within 14days of receiving your policy and returnall your documents for a refund of yourpremium. If during this 14-day periodyou have travelled, made a claim orintend to make a claim, we are entitledto recover all costs we have incurred foryour use of those services.

4. Whilst participating in any AcceptableSport & Leisure Activity, you must takereasonable care at all times to ensureyour own safety and the safety of thosearound you. Such reasonable careinvolves following the directions of anyinstructor and (or) expedition leader andfollowing the normal and reasonablesafety procedures suggested orrecommended by the recognisedcontrolling body of the sport or activityconcerned, or the safety procedurescommonly exercised in pursuing thesport or activity in question at all times.

5. You or your legal representatives mustprovide us with all policies, informationand evidence we require and in theformat we require.

6. You shall submit to medical examinationat your expense, except post mortemwhich we reserve the right to haveundertaken at our own expense.

7. Ryanair No-Show letter FeeAny Ryanair ‘No-Show’ letter feeincurred by the claimant as part of aclaim against this policy will be fullyrefunded by the claim handler with anysuccessful claim (see Ryanair FAQsection for ‘No-show” administration feedetails)

8. Any items which become the subject ofa claim for damage must be retained,until your claim is settled, for ourinspection and shall be forwarded to usupon request at your or your legalpersonal representative’s expense. Allsuch items shall become our propertyfollowing final settlement of the claim.

9. In the event of any occurrence whichmay give rise to a claim under thispolicy, you must take all reasonable stepsto minimise any loss arising out of sucha claim.

10. You must exercise due care and attentionat all times for the safety of your propertyand take all reasonable steps to preventaccident, loss or damage.

11. You must notify any claim to us within 31days after the incident giving rise to theloss. All documents, <certificates /schedules> and medical evidencerequired in support of a claim should befurnished at your expense. We willreserve the right to decline liability forany claim notified after this date.

12. This insurance is non-transferable. Nopremium will be refunded, either in fullor on a pro-rata basis, after the expiry ofthe initial 14 day cooling off period.

13. This policy shall be governed by andconstrued in accordance with the Law ofEngland

14. We may, at its own expense, takeproceedings in your name to recovercompensation or secure an indemnityfrom any third party in respect of anyloss or damage covered by thisinsurance and any amount so recoveredshall belong to us. Where a full recoveryis made, we agree to return your excess.

15. Our liability shall be conditional uponthe observance by you of the terms andconditions of this insurance and the truthand completeness of the statements andanswers supplied by you and on yourbehalf. If a claim is in any respect falseor if any fraudulent means or devices areused by you or anyone acting on yourbehalf to obtain any benefits from thisinsurance, all benefits under thisinsurance shall be forfeited and no returnof premium shall be due.

16. If at the time of loss, damage or liabilitycovered under this policy, you have anyother insurance or guarantee whichcovers the same loss, damage or liability,we will only pay a rateable share of theclaim.

Section A – Cancellation and Curtailment

1. A medical certificate from the treating medical practitioner explaining why it wasnecessary for you to cancel or curtail the trip.

2. In the case of death causing cancellation or curtailment of the trip, the original deathcertificate.

3. Booking confirmation together with a cancellation invoice from Ryanair, tour operatoror provider of accommodation.

4. In the case of curtailment claims, written details from your travel agent, tour operatoror provider of transport/accommodation of the separate costs of transport,accommodation and other pre-paid costs or charges that made up the total cost ofthe trip.

IntroductionIn return for the payment of your premium wewill provide insurance for your electronicequipment during the period of cover asstated in your insurance schedule, subject tothe terms, conditions, and limitations shownbelow or as amended in writing by us.

This policy is for a fixed duration and thepremium must be paid at inception. Thepolicy will remain in force for the periodshown on your policy schedule unlesscancelled in accordance with Conditions andLimitations 5, 6 or the section headedCancellation.

Your cover will commence when you leaveyour home to travel to the airport and will endwhen you arrive home on your return.

Your Demands and NeedsThis policy meets the demands and needs ofthose who wish to insure against the cost ofreplacing electronic equipment that is stolenor damaged accidentally during a period oftravel booked via Ryanair.

DefinitionsThe words and phrases defined below havethe same meaning wherever they appear inbold in this certificate.

Accidental loss - means that the electronic

equipment has been accidentally left by youin a location and you are permanentlydeprived of its use.

Commercial vehicle - any vehicle usedwholly or partly for commercial or businesspurposes or any other vehicle that is beingused for commercial or business purposes atthe time of any loss or damage to theelectronic equipment.

Electronic equipment – the portable itemsinsured by this policy, which were purchasedby you as new. The items can be any of thefollowing; mobile phone, PDA(PersonalDigital Assistant), satellite navigation unit,iPod, MP3 player, laptop, camera, portableDVD player, portable gaming consoles or,iTablets.

Home - means your place of residence asstated on your insurance schedule.

Immediate family – your mother, father,son, daughter, spouse, domestic partner wholives at the same address.

Reasonable precautions – all measuresthat it would be reasonable to expect aperson to take in the circumstances toprevent, damage or theft of your electronicequipment.

Terrorism - means any act of any person ororganization involving, causing orthreatening harm or putting the public or anysection of the public in fear if it is likely thatthe purpose is of a political, religious,ideological (of an intellectual or rationalnature) or similar nature.

Unattended – not within your sight at alltimes and out of your arms-length reach.

A. Accidental DamageWe will pay repair costs if your electronicequipment is damaged as the result of anaccident.

B. TheftIf your electronic equipment is stolen we willreplace it. Where only part or parts of yourelectronic equipment have been stolen, wewill only replace that part or parts.

What we will not cover

Your electronic equipment is not covered for:

1. Theft:• from any commercial vehicle,

convertible or soft top vehicle;• from any motor vehicle where you or

someone acting on your behalf isnot in the vehicle, unless theelectronic equipment has beenconcealed in a locked boot, lockedglove compartment or other lockedinternal compartment and all thevehicle’s windows and doors closedand locked and all security systemshave been activated. A copy of therepairers account for such damageto the vehicle must be supplied withany claim

• from any building, land or premisesunless force, resulting in damage tothe building or premises, was usedto gain entry or exit. A copy of therepairers account for such damageto the vehicle must be supplied withany claim

• from your control or the control ofany member of your immediatefamily, except where it has beenconcealed either on or about theperson and not left unattended, orthe use of physical force or violenceagainst the person has been used orthreatened;

• where the electronic equipment hasbeen left unattended when it is awayfrom your home;

• where reasonable precautions havenot been taken;

2. Loss or damage caused by:• you deliberately damaging or

neglecting the electronic equipment;• you not following the manufacturer’s

instructions;• routine servicing, inspection,

maintenance or cleaning;• the use of accessories.

3. Repair or other costs for:• routine servicing, inspection,

maintenance or cleaning;• loss caused by a manufacturer’s

defect or recall of the electronicequipment;

• replacement of or adjustment tofittings, control knobs or buttons,batteries or aerials;

• repairs carried our by persons notauthorised by us;

• wear and tear or gradualdeterioration of performance.

4. Any kind of damage whatsoever unlessthe damaged electronic equipment isprovided for repair.

5. Any claim if the electronic equipment hasnot been used within 14 days of theinsurance purchase.

6. Theft or damage if left on any motorvehicle roof, bonnet or boot;

7. Any loss of a SIM (subscriber identitymodule) card.

8. Any claim for any item worth more thanthe maximum insured value

9. Any expense incurred as a result of notbeing able to use the electronicequipment, or any loss other than therepair or replacement costs of theelectronic equipment.

10. The first £40 of each claim. 11. Loss of or damage to accessories of any

kind.12. Accidental Loss 13. Any loss or damage caused by the

failure of any electrical or computerequipment, software, micro-controller,microchip, accessories or associatedequipment to correctly recognise andprocess any calendar date or time.

14. If a SIM card registered to you was notin your mobile phone at the time of thedamage or theft.

15. Reconnection costs or subscription feesof any kind.

16. The cost of any unauthorised callsfollowing the theft, or damage of amobile phone or PDA.

Please note: if you are insuring anitem without SIM card capability, allexclusions relating to SIM cards arenot applicable.

17. War RiskTerrorism, war, invasion, acts of foreignenemies, hostilities whether war is declaredor not, civil war, rebellion, revolutioninsurrection, military or usurped power,confiscation, nationalism or requisition ordestruction or damage to property by orunder the order of any government or publicor legal authority.

18. Nuclear RiskDamage or destruction caused by,contributed to or arising from:

a. ionizing radiation or contaminationby radioactivity from any nuclearfuel or from any nuclear waste fromthe combustion of nuclear fuel; or

b. the radioactive, toxic, explosive orother hazardous properties of anyexplosive nuclear assembly orcomponent thereof.

19. Sonic BoomDamage or destruction directly occasionedby pressure waves caused by aircraft or otheraerial devices traveling at sonic or supersonicspeeds.

20. Loss of Data or SoftwareAny loss of or damage to information or dataor software contained in or stored on theelectronic equipment whether arising as aresult of a claim paid by this insurance orotherwise.

21. Any loss or damage arising fromaccidental damage, theft, accidentalloss, breakdown or from any causewhatsoever.

22. Liability of whatsoever nature arising

from ownership or use of the electronicequipment, including any illness or injuryresulting from it.

23. Value Added Tax (VAT) where you areregistered with HM Revenue andCustoms for VAT.

ReplacementThis policy offers replacement only and is nota replacement as new policy. If the electronicequipment cannot be replaced with anidentical electronic equipment of the sameage and condition, we will replace it withone of comparable specification or theequivalent value taking into account the ageand condition of the original electronicequipment.Conditions and Limitations1. Unless we have agreed differently with

you, English law and the decisions ofEnglish courts will govern this insurance.

2. This insurance only covers electronicequipment bought in the UK, the Isle ofMan and the Channel Islands. Coverincludes use of the electronic equipmentanywhere in the world subject to anyrepairs being carried out in the UK byrepairers approved by us.

3. The electronic item must have beenpurchased as new by you and be lessthan 36 months old with valid proof ofpurchase (not from online auctions) whenthe policy is started.

4. You must provide us with any receipts,documents or proof of purchase, that it isreasonable for us to request.

5. This insurance may only be altered,varied or its conditions altered orpremium changed by one of ourauthorized officials, giving you 30 daysnotice in writing.

6. We may cancel the policy by giving you30 days notice in writing. In the event ofany claim you are responsible for thepayment of any outstanding premium.

7. You cannot transfer the insurance tosomeone else or to any other electronicequipment without our writtenpermission.

8. You must take all reasonable precautionsto prevent any loss or damage.

Claims Procedure1. You must:

• notify Supercover Insurance Ltd on00 44 871 221 2470 as soon aspossible in any event of any incidentlikely to give rise to a claim underthis insurance;

• report the theft of any mobile phoneor PDA, within 12 hours ofdiscovery to your Airtime Providerand blacklist your handset;

• report the theft of any electronicequipment to the Police within 24hours of discovery and obtain acrime reference number in supportyour claim;

Compensation SchemeAgeas Insurance Limited is covered by theFinancial Services Compensation Scheme(FSCS). You may be entitled to compensationfrom the scheme, if they cannot meet theirobligations. This depends on the type ofbusiness and the circumstances of the claim.Most insurance contracts are covered for90% of the claim with no upper limit. Data Protection Act 1998Supercover Insurance Ltd do not pass anypersonal data about you to any third parties.When you apply for insurance and/or makea claim, you will be required to discloserelevant personal data about yourself toSupercover Insurance Ltd or their agents,including data which is deemed "sensitive"under the Data Protection Act 1998. Yourexplicit consent to the processing of this data,which is required under the Data ProtectionAct 1998, will be requested at the time ofpurchase or when you make a claim. Pleasenote that any information that you provide toSupercover Insurance Ltd may be shared withother insurers, for the purpose of preventingfraudulent claims. SCHEDULED AIRLINE FAILUREINSURANCEThis cover is provided by InternationalPassenger Protection Limited, IPP House, 22-26 Station Road, West Wickham, Kent BR40PR, United Kingdom and is underwritten bya consortium of Association of British Insurersmember Companies & certain Underwritersat Lloyds.

The Insurer will pay up to £2,000 in totalfor each Insured specified on the certificateof insurance or booking invoice for: • Irrecoverable sums paid in advance in

the event of Insolvency of the scheduledairline not forming part of an inclusiveholiday prior to departure or

• In the event of Insolvency after departure: a) Additional pro rata costs incurred by

the Person-Insured in replacing thatpart of the flight arrangements to asimilar standard to that originallybooked or

b) If curtailment of the holiday isunavoidable -the cost of return flightsto the United Kingdom, Isle of Man,Channel Islands or Ireland to asimilar standard to that originallybooked.

PROVIDED THAT in the case of a) and b)above where practicable the Person-Insuredshall have obtained the approval of theInsurer prior to incurring the relevant costs bycontacting the Insurer as set out below. The Insurer will not pay for: • Scheduled flights not booked within the

United Kingdom, Isle of Man, ChannelIslands or Ireland prior to departure

• Any costs resulting from the Insolvencyof: a) Any scheduled airline which is in

Chapter 11 or any threat ofinsolvency being known at the dateof issue of the Certificate

b) Any scheduled airline that is bondedor insured elsewhere (even if thebond is insufficient to meet theclaim)

• The financial failure of any travel agent,tour organiser, booking agent orconsolidator with whom the insured hasbooked a scheduled flight

• Any loss for which a third party is liableor which can be recovered by other legalmeans

• Any losses that are not directlyassociated with the incident that causedyou to claim. For example, loss due tobeing unable to reach your pre bookedhotel, villa, car hire or cruise followingthe financial failure of an airline.

IPP will only accept claims submitted up to sixmonths after the failure.

Any claims submitted after the six monthperiod will NOT be processed.

Notes on Scheduled Airline Failure

We Cover:

Any scheduled airline (not forming part of aninclusive holiday) booked in the UK in theevent of the Insolvency of the airline for:

• All monies paid prior to flight departurein respect of airfare(s);

• The cost of a return airfare(s) to the UKor onward flight(s) in order to completethe pre-arranged journey at the samestandard as booked.

We Do Not Cover:The booking agent or consolidator.
