1933 Minutes of Meeting RC Cal Midtown on Thursday 28 Dec 2015, at Saturday Club, 6.30 pm, Kolkata- 17

After registration, fellowship Tea, Coffee, President Rtn. Udayendu called the 1933 RCCM meeting to order and greeted Midtowners.ŸNational Anthem was led by Rtn. Suman Sarawgi and was sung by all. Ÿ1932 Minutes of meeting were confirmed by members.ŸPresident briefed the Midtowners that the :ŸDistrict Conference 2016 0n 9 & 10 Jan stands deferred till further intimation as per circular from DS Admin, Chitralekha Ghosh, DS Admin.Ÿ8 Jan – Rotary Club of Calcutta South East is organizing an event called Rotary Talent Utsav at Rotary Sadan 6PM-8Pm followed by ŸDinner. Participation from our club has been sought.

Midtown will participate and contribute RS 3000/- as Host Club for the success of the 7 Day project steered by Rotary Club of ŸCalcutta Sutanuti for the benefit of the North Calcutta Red Light Area under privileged children.

2nd Jan – Midtowners are invited to 25 Charter Day Celebration of Rotary Mahanagar and witness the Dance Dram by Ability ŸUnlimited Group at G.D. Birla Sabhagar at 3Pm. RIPP Kalyan Bannerjee will be the chief Guest.

President updated members on global grant project. ŸSRAN Nimpit is waiting to start the project depending on receipt of the Global Grant. Rtn. Rakesh Sahni informed that Rotary Ann ŸArbor has sent their share of USD 10000/-. to RIF.He briefed members of his meeting with Swamijee was constructive. Process of identifying the first batch of 20 beneficiaries of toilets is almost done. He has asked for logos of participating clubs so that design of training manuals can be done. SRAN Nimpit has 20 Rooms with very basic facility to host delegates. Date of visit and no of rooms need to be confirmed in advance for the booking.

The President requested members for hosting the visiting US Rotarians during their visit . Rtn. Sanjay Choudhury will coordinate Ÿand take the lead once it is confirmed how many couples would be visiting our District.

President showed sample copies of Club Roaster which is under print.ŸThe President reminded all to register for the 10th-13th March RI President Visit and The Literracy & WASH Convention.ŸThe President gave a short but mind evoking speech on individual mind sets and our thought process which gets messed up when we Ÿlook for the absence of something which is larger then the presence of something.

The President recgnised PP.Rtn Brij Chatrath on his Birthday with a token of appreciation and invited the club to the Cake Cutting Ÿceremony.

Sunshine Collection RS 1300/- over above the usual.ŸAttendance -54%. Present 22; Members- 56, Senior Active-7, Exempt-7ŸThere being no other matter to discuss, the meeting was closed and the President invited all members & Guests to join in for ŸFellowship & Dinner.

AGM was called by the President.ŸAgenda was read and President informed that Trust Accounts and the Club Accounts has been Ÿprepared and the copy for the Year 2014-15 is ready. Final signed copy from Auditors has not been received since Auditors office was being shifted. It was decided that only after receipt of signed copy of Auditor the members will meet once again, review and approve the same . The confirmation of accounts will be taken up once received by the Auditors.

Incoming President Rtn. Yogesh Gupta announced to the members his Rotary year Board ŸTeam for the year 2016-17.
