RV SLIDE OUT SEALS

Slide-outs seals can be the most important weatherstripping found on an RV! Worn or poor-quality seals on slide-outs can easily lead to extensive and expensive damage. Generally consisting of a ‘wiper’ and a round seal called a ‘bulb’, the wiper seals the gap between the side of the RV body and the slide-out when the slide-out is extended.The bulb makes a seal between the body of the RV and the outside wall edge of the slide-out when the slide-out is retracted.Steele Rubber Products offers you precision made high quality rubber seals in a number of profiles to fit just about any configuration.

When choosing slide-out seals, be sure to note the typeyour RV has: � -Is it one or two piece? � -How is it installed (glued on, pushed on, or does it utilize an adhesive tape)?� -What are the dimensions of the seals and the tracks they slide into and/or the surfaces that they adhere to (length, width and height)? Note: in some cases, manufacturers use white rubberwhich soils easily and does not have the same UVprotection as black rubber. Without this protection,the rubber will deteriorate and lose its seal.
