list of materials 20cm (7.87) of 20 gauge wire (of 0,8 mm in diameter) 7 cm (2,75) of 28 or 29 gauge wire (of 0,3 mm in diameter) (you will use it for attaching bead to the base) 1 pink quartz bead size 4 mm 1 little copper ring *I've used oxidized copper to create this pendant, but it can be any other wire brass, copper, silver or gold-filled.

Step 1 Fold a length of 20g wire in half (you can squeeze it using your pliers), and then unfold it, leaving a bend, as shown in photo 2.

Step 2 Now bend both halves of the wire into loose loops, or arcs, as shown in the photos, to create a heart shape. If you are having difficulty forming the wire, you can bend it around something round to help create the shape. If you want the outline of your heart to be symmetrical, try to make both sides the same size and shape in this step. 1

Step 3 Now use your round nose pliers to create one small loop on each end, right where the larger loops come together to make the heart shape.

Step 4 Move your pliers a centimeter or so (depending on the size of your heart) down the length of wire from the last loop you created and curl the length of wire around your pliers to create a second loop. Cut the end of the wire as shown in the photos, and bend it in to continue the curve.

Step 5 Take the long end of the wire and create another loop (again, about a centimeter from the very first loop you created), this time pointing in the opposite direction. Curve the length of wire up as is shown in the photo. Dont cut this one just yet!

Step 6 Create one last loop (again, leaving a little space between this loop and the previous one). Cut the end of the wire and curve the length of wire so that the last loop is nestled into the side of the heart.

Step 7 Now take your fine gauge wire, and wrap it tightly around one of the loops. String your bead onto the thin wire and wrap it around another portion of the heavy wire to secure the bead among the loops within the heart.

Step 8 Snip away the excess thin wire, and attach a copper jump ring. Your lovely pendant is now ready to hang from the chain or cord of your choice!
