Distribution of offshore fields in the
world by distance from the coast
About 27% of offshore oil and gas fields are located at a
distance of more than 200 km (inc. 19% over 300 km)
According to the forecast of OGP in the short term,
average remoteness of the platforms reach to 220 - 250
km.
The flight range of modern offshore helicopter shall be
not less than 700 km
The average remoteness of drilling rigs in South East
Asia is from 80 to 200 km, with a max of 350 km.
In Australia – 200 - 250 km, maximum reaches 500 km.
