Avery Hill Campus – The Student Village

The Student Village houses over 1300 students in self contained flats which gives each resident a single study-bedroom with its own mini-fridge, communal lounge/kitchen/dining room and either shared bath/toilet facilities or en-suite bathroom/toilets. There is a telephone in each room as well as direct data access for free computer connection to the internet.

The development is built around courtyards and also includes a launderette, shops, refectory, Students’ Union bar and facilities, and parking. Places at the Student Village are available for students from any campus.

Medway Campus

The halls of residence adjacent to the Medway University Campuscomprise five halls offering a total of 350 self catering places insingle study bedrooms with its own mini-fridge and en-suite bathroomfacilities.

The rooms are arranged in cluster flats with shared kitchen/diningfacilities. All rooms have data points for free connection to the internet.

The halls have two launderettes, and there are two cafés, a shop,Students’ Union bar and facilities plus parking on site.

Living Costs

The UKBA requires students to show maintenance costs of £7,200 for an academic year for all three of our campuses for their Student Visa application.

This of course varies with lifestyle and is cheaper if they are

living with family or friends, and off campus

Can I work whilst I study?

An international student studying at a University on a Tier 4 Student Visa on a course of degree level or higher may work up to 20 hours per week permit during term-time and full time during vacations.

Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies – CAS NumberOnce an offer is academically

unconditional and the pre registration

deposit has been paid the university will arrange with the UK Border Agency for a CAS Number.

This is an electronic reference number which students need to apply for their Tier 4 student visa.
