At the end of the 19th century, the scientific community believed that space was made of ether, a substance which, if they succeeded in using it as energy, would allow them to explore the skies. In 1868, Marie Dulac, a scientist who had devoted her life to researching ether, went up in a hot air balloon in search of the substance. She never returned. Only her husband, also a professor, and their son Séraphin, kept her research and the information she had amassed.

One year later, a mysterious letter from Bavaria alluding to Marie Dulac’s flight log invites the father and son to the castle of the king of Bavaria. The king, either a madman or a visionary, wants to finance the father’s search for ether. At the same time, Bismark, the prince of neighboring Prussia, is going to do all he can to discredit the king of Bavaria, placing the kingdom under his tutelage. In this first volume, Séraphin, along with his father and their allies, will

build an Ethership and begin to realize that Bismark has grand plans.

Alex Alice is member of a group of young multimedia artists who stage great performances. In 1993, he met Xavier Dorison, and together they created their first comic book, Le Troisième testament (The Third Testa-ment), which became a huge bestseller.

1896. Henri Ducharme and his two children are traveling from New Orleans to El Dorado, California when they are attacked by a small group of American Indians. During the course of one long, sleepless night, Ed tells about his adventurous life as Buffalo Runner. He recounts an episode essential to the conquest of the West, that of the massacre of buffalo, which weakens the Indians and allows for the development of fur trading, ranches, and railway lines.

The authors’ trio have managed to breathe surprising energy into this timeless hero of Maurice Leblanc’s novels!

It is the winter of 1065 in Fizzland, in the North of what is now Europe. The snow, that white Demon, covers all, turning those that touch it crazy and condemning Bjorn and his family to remain locked up at home for months. During this time, Bjorn reveals himself to be a Morphir, a valiant Viking warrior. His peaceful childhood gave no prediction of such a destiny... He will manage to save his family from the snow and live numerous adventures: he will confront the terrible Prince Dar, find love, win his dragon Daphnir, and pledge his allegiance to the king!

Olivier Tallec leads us into the most comical situations, through time and space. From Prehistory to the Savannah or the North Pole, passing through the daily life of superheros, everything is a pretext for irony!

“What I’m looking for is variation: characters who aren’t where they should be, situations or phrases stripped of meaning. From this point of view, the worlds of marketing, commerce, or even weather reports, in their odd link with language, are particularly inspiring.” Olivier Tallec

Guillaume Sorel takes on an essen-tial classic of fantastic literature, illustrating the complete text. He offers us an interpretation of Alice far from that of the good little girl in Walt Disney; a cheeky little lady loyal to the text of Lewis Carroll. In

these thirty original illustrations, you will find all the famous scenes: the fall down the rabbit hole, the pool of water, the advice from the caterpillar, and the White Rabbit who is late, of course.

The return of Soledad! Whether spicy or tender, Soledad is always full of affection, empathy, and a great gift of observation, and she alternates between knowing advice and cultural tips. This practical guide on life succeeds in offering a delicious, modern portrait of a world that is decidedly full of surprises.

Olivier Tallec has signed nume-rous drawings for the press and illustrated over fifty books for children. For several years now, he has devoted his time to writing books.

Guillaume Sorel’s literary tastes lie mainly in European fantasy literature from the 19th and 20th centuries. His work in-cludes, among others, the adap-tation of Laurent Seksik’s novel The Last Days of Stephan Zweig.

Soledad Bravi has a degree from an art school and was an artistic director in advertising before returning to drawing. Today she draws for children and teens and for fashion magazines.
