WHAT IS Z87+

ANSI Z87.1 is the American National Standard that covers the basic requirements for personal eye and faceprotective devices to minimize or prevent injuries from impacts, non-ionizing radiation and chemical agentsin occupational, educational and military environments. This Standard sets criteria related to the description,general requirements, testing, marking, selection, care and use of these protectors.

+ is an additional requirement of ANSI Z87.1 standard which provides more strict and severe impact tests:

Penetration (1.56 oz 44.2 gm / 50 in 127 cm)High Mass Impact (17.6 oz 500 gr / 50 in 127 cm)High Velocity Impact resistance (150 ft/s 46 m/s).
