OWN EVERY SECOND
02 03 Audi RS 5 Sportback
We count seconds, not to measure time. We count seconds to feel alive. Because you can simply let a second pass unnoticed. Or grab it boldly and turn it into an exciting one that remains unforgotten for a lifetime.
It’s up to no one but you how you use your every second. So, are you going to waste it? Or own it?

DRESSED TO PERFORMThe new Audi RS 5 Sportback.
The new Audi RS 5 Sportback combines high performance with thrilling design – and good
everyday usability. The new RS design language featuring RS bumpers with generous air inlets
will take your breath away in fractions of a second. One look is all it takes to see that the new
Audi RS 5 Sportback is dressed to perform.

FRONT ROW OR POLE POSITION?
An RS 5 driver’s natural home is on the front row – especially at traffic lights.
Even before the ignition first sparks into life, the sporty ergonomics leave no
room for doubt as to the power lurking under the bonnet, waiting to be tamed by
the flat-bottomed RS sport contour leather steering wheel with multifunction
plus and large shift paddles. The Audi virtual cockpit with RS menu is ready to
assist with all the essential trip information. With a view like this in front of you,
the decision between Fashion Week and race weekend has never been easier.

ELEGANCE WITH A SPORTY TWIST
The new Audi RS 5 Sportback doesn’t follow any dress code. It sets its own. For example, you can choose the Audi
exclusive Sonoma green design package for the optional RS sport seats with seat centre panels in fine Nappa leather
with honeycomb pattern. Go for sporty accents in fine Nappa leather, black with contrasting stitching in Sonoma
green for the seat upholstery, head restraints, front centre armrest, door armrests and centre console – to name but
a few of the highlights. Rarely has a four-door Sportback caused such a sensation.

TURNING ROAD TORACETRACK Thanks to the sporty 2.9-litre V6 twin-turbo engine developing 331 kW and 600 Nm of
torque, the new Audi RS 5 Sportback knows only one direction: to the limit. With the 8-speed
tiptronic transmission, it hits the 100 km/h mark in just 3.9 seconds – and keeps on going
until 280 km/h¹. Not only that, but the RS sport suspension plus with Dynamic Ride Control
(DRC) makes for high cornering speeds, too. The road will be powerless to resist, no matter
how many chicanes it throws at you.

SPEEDING GLANCE TO TRANCEIf you want to draw attention in a matter of milliseconds, nobody will
shoot past the Audi RS 5 Sportback. It’s an athlete in top form – with
four doors, but a unique coupé silhouette. Wheel arch extensions,
19-inch ceramic brakes on the front axle, 20-inch forged aluminium
wheels in 5-arm flag design and the striking colour Sonoma green,
metallic all work together to attract more glances per hour. Not to
mention heartbeats per minute.

WHO SAYS YOU CAN’T MAKE A CATWALKOUT OF ASPHALT?It doesn’t always have to be Paris, Milan or New York. The new Audi RS 5 Sportback transforms the road into its very
own catwalk, even far away from the famous fashion capitals. The carbon styling package including attachments in
gloss black enhances the sporty look: thanks to a front spoiler, carbon inlays on the sill extensions, rear spoiler and
diffuser insert. Not to mention the radiator protective grille trim frame, trim strips on the side windows and a gloss
black horizontal bar in the rear diffuser insert. The optionally available Audi rings and gloss black logos round off
the car’s sporty looks in impressive style.

YOUR AUDI GETS MORE THAN JUST ONE COAT OF PAINT
Choose the paint finish to suit your individual taste. But whichever colour you opt
for, you can count on the outstanding quality of our painting process. Though no
thicker than a human hair, the layer of paint on an Audi is made up of four coats.
To ensure that your Audi is optimally protected from environmental influences and
wear. And also outwardly reflects your personality.
It gets several.

THE PERFECT CONNECTION BETWEEN AN AUDI AND THE ROADAudi Sport wheels.
To make sure you have peace of mind every inch of the way, Audi Sport
puts its wheels through an exacting series of specialised test procedures.
Hardness tests, for example, aim for maximum stability. And a copper-
accelerated salt spray test – CASS for short – using acetic acid guarantees
the best possible corrosion protection. Thanks to these and many other
measures, we can ensure that every Audi Sport wheel offers maximum
quality, even after scores of miles. No matter which of the numerous
designs you choose.

Explanatory notes
¹ The figure given was calculated using the specified measuring procedure (current version of UN R85).
² Unladen vehicle weight includes driver (75 kg) and fuel tank 90 % full, calculated in accordance with the
current version of Reg. (EU) 1230/2012. Optional equipment may increase the vehicle’s unladen weight
and drag coefficient, whereupon the possible payload limit and the top speed will be reduced accordingly.
³ Electronically regulated.
⁴ We recommend using sulphur-free SuperPlus unleaded RON 98 fuel complying with DIN EN 228. If this is not
available, use sulphur-free super unleaded RON 95 fuel complying with DIN EN 228; power output will be
slightly reduced. Unleaded RON 95 fuel with a maximum ethanol content of 10 % (E10) can generally be used.
Fuel consumption details refer to operation with RON 95 fuel complying with 692/2008/EC.
⁵ The specified fuel consumption and emission data have been determined according to the measurement procedures
prescribed by law. Since 1 September 2017, certain new vehicles are already being type-approved according to
the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP), a more realistic test procedure for measuring
fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. Starting on 1 September 2018, the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC)
will be replaced by the WLTP in stages. Owing to the more realistic test conditions, the fuel consumption and CO₂
emissions measured according to the WLTP will, in many cases, be higher than those measured according to
the NEDC. For further information on the differences between the WLTP and NEDC, please visit our website. We
are currently still required by law to state the NEDC figures. In the case of new vehicles which have been type-
approved according to the WLTP, the NEDC figures are derived from the WLTP data. It is possible to specify the
WLTP figures voluntarily in addition until such time as this is required by law. In cases where the NEDC figures
are specified as value ranges, these do not refer to a particular individual vehicle and do not constitute part of
the sales offering. They are intended exclusively as a means of comparison between different vehicle types.
Additional equipment and accessories (e. g. add-on parts, different tyre formats etc.) may change the relevant
vehicle parameters, such as weight, rolling resistance and aerodynamics and, in conjunction with weather
and traffic conditions and individual driving style, may affect fuel consumption, electrical power consumption,
CO₂ emissions and the performance figures for the vehicle.
⁶ Technical specifications refer to a basic vehicle without country-specific features and the selected optional
equipment.
⁷ Please note the special information relating to wheels on this page.
Important note
Special information about the wheels: Wheels with gloss turned or gloss milled finish as well as polished or partly
polished aluminium wheels must not be used in wintry road conditions. For manufacturing reasons, the rim surface
does not have sufficient corrosion protection for such use and can be damaged permanently by road salt or similar.
Sporty driving: Models from Audi Sport GmbH are developed and produced for driving on public roads. Compared
to normal road use, vehicles are put under significantly more stress when used on racetracks or other closed circuits
(e.g. during driving training, driver courses, track days). This particularly applies to the engine, transmission, clutch
and drivetrain as well as to the suspension, brake system and tyres. This can result in greater wear. Special information
about driving the vehicle on racetracks or other closed circuits is available in the owner’s literature or from your
Audi partner.
