The work carried out on these claims by myself was basically a search for gold or base metal indications.

Particular attention was focused on areas of shear zones and felsetic rock formations.

Generally speaking, gold occurs in this area predominantly in quartz veins which are notoriously discontinuous. We think that a low grade high tonnage deposit would seem to be a likely exploration target. Stripping this fall in the south-east section of our claim group exposed big widths of sheared and altered rock. Unfortunately we will not be able to sample the showings until spring.

Some of the forest in this area is nearly impenetrable owing to dead balsam and blowdowns.

Some old forest was noted on claim #1053013 .... giant Norway Pine 4' at the butt which was well rotted.
