Rise Up! Dear Parents Harley! Harley! Last week, I made a BIG mistake in the newsletter....mixing up Harley’s name with another of our great Rosebank spellers. Being Harley, he didn’t notice or mind, but we take this opportunity to bow down to The Mighty Turtle’s spelling prowess. Yesterday, Harley and his fellow Spelling Champs Bodhi, Quinn and Cassidy headed off to the Regional Finals of the Premier’s Spelling Bee. All reported having lots of fun. PUBLIC SPEAKING Assembly We’ve been having a lot of fun this week listening to the fabulous speeches written by our children. On Friday, we will have our special Public Speaking Assembly at 9.00am. The Top Four from Stages 2 and3 (Years 3 and 4, then 5 and 6) will go through to compete for a place in the Regional Final. Both Kindy kids will give their speech as well as the Class Champs from Years 1, 2 and 3. All parents are warmly invited to attend...we LOVE an audience! Rosebank Public School Term 3 Week 9

Thank you! Our children were looking good for their school photos last Friday. Thank you so much for your support in turning them out so beautifully. Can’t wait to see the prints. Camp Maranatha Full Speed Ahead Years 5 and 6 children are so excited about heading off to Camp next week. Over the last few weeks, all children should have brought home:

• Camp Information Note • Medical Consent • General Consent • What to Pack

There has been an IMPORTANT CHANGE in arrangements. The bus to Camp will now leave Bexhill PS at 8.00am. Parents are asked to bring their children to Bexhill by 7.30am. Abigail needs time to check medication etc. The bus is equipped with seat belts and a toilet is available (for emergencies only). We will make a stop for lunch before arriving at Camp Maranatha. This year, we are going to Camp with children from Bexhill, Eureka and Upper Coopers Creek Public Schools, so party central! All schools have been asked to follow the same rules, including “Please do not pack or bring lollies or gum”. Attached today is a Code of Conduct, which needs to be read and signed by both parent and student. If your child has any medical or dietary requirements, please make sure they have been communicated to the school by tomorrow (Thursday). If you need to send medication along, please complete the attached form and give to Abigail on Monday with any required medication. If you are missing any important notes, you can find them on our website. Please be sure to send in any outstanding consent forms and payments by this Friday please, and check in with Abigail if there is anything she needs to be aware of while your child is away. Abigail can be contacted on her mobile throughout Camp, but Nicky will be Officer-in-Charge on site and ready to assist with day-to-day queries. Olly will be working with Years 3 and 4 children Thursday and Friday, so lots of fun to be had at school too. Speaking of Camp....Plans are afoot for the Years 3 and 4 kids to head off on their own Camp. We have booked Dorroughby EEC for a Mini Camp on Tuesday 21st November. Years K-1 kids will be joining them at Dorroughby on Wednesday 22nd. The kids told us they wanted to return to Dorroughby, with Mrs Hughes cooking top on their list of reasons. Stay tuned for more information... Holiday Time Next week is the last week of term. Term 4 brings lots more fun. In Week 3 we have our Intensive Swimming Coaching at GSAC, and we are still hunting for the perfect date for our School Musical. Please go on our Facebook page and cast a vote for your date preference. Sad news...Cassidy’s family have moved house to the other side of Lismore, so Cassidy will be going to a different school next term. We are so sorry to see him go. Cassidy has been at Rosebank since he was just a little guy (Kindy, he tells me), and we’ve loved sharing his learning journey. Cassidy is SUPER clever
