WHAT IS THE CHALLENGE ?
We want Year 8 students to research, plan, design, build and test an aircraft capable of delivering a sensitive piece
of equipment to two downed pilots, each in a different location.

Your model must be securely attached to the pulley to allow for a ‘realistic’ flight

GROUND RULES• Aircraft must stay within the size and weight limitations.
If it’s too heavy, you will crash into the mountains!!
• The release mechanism must be able to be reset after use.
• The aircraft must be capable of flying several missions.
• The sensitive equipment must be protected and/or its rate of decent reduced to ensure it survives the impact when it is delivered to the target.
• The aircraft will need to have an undercarriage to land successfully on the runway.
• The aircraft will need to be highly visible to attract the attention of the downed pilots, or be carefully camouflaged to avoid enemy detection.
