Description The ET 1801 is a GSM/GPRS router featuring dual band (900/1800MHz) wireless port and external access to SIM card. Available with one Ethernet LAN interface, 10/100 Mbps, auto- sense, supporting connection to an individual laptop or to a LAN switch. Connects small and medium size offices to the Internet or intranet via the cellular infrastructure making the ET 1801 ideal for extending Internet/IP services to locations not served by copper or fiber infrastructure. Supports PSTN backup using external dial-up modems ensuring continuity of data services. The auxiliary serial port supports async PPP connections up to 115 kbps data rate. GPRS interface compatible with GSM phase 2/2+ and GPRS Class 8 or 10, supporting up to 85.6 kbps download and up to 42.8 kbps upload. The ET 1801 supports RIPv1/v2 routing protocols and static routing. It includes advanced IP address management tools and features such as DHCP Client/Server/Relay, DNS relay and NAT/PAT address translation. The operator and the user enjoy versatility and economy regardless of the number of stations connecting to the Internet or other networks. The ET 1801 can be connected via an external omni-directional antenna, thus increasing wireless connectivity range and quality. Quick Setup and management via local console port, Telnet server (for both local and remote management), WEB browser, SSH server or via SNMP-based ET-PANORAMA NMS or any 3rd party SNMP- based platform. The user can utilize CLI Command Line Interface script or the GUI user friendly HTML menu via secure HTTPS connection for configuring the ET 1801 via any laptop with Terminal or Browser applications. Advanced security features protect Internet access and HQ/Branch LAN connectivity: o SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) firewall protecting against undesired entry from the Internet o User authentication performed via RADIUS and TACACS servers or locally in the ET 1801. o VPN (Virtual Private Network) supporting up to 5 IPSec tunnels and various encryption modes - DES, 3DES and AES schemes, IKE and ISAKMP key exchange and management and MD5 and SHA-1 authentication hashes. o PAP and CHAP authentication and Van Jacobsen header compression for asynchronous PPP connections o Advanced QoS (Quality of Service) tools including Packet identification and classification, DiffServ (Differentiated Services to prioritize classified packets), priority scheduling and L2 VLAN. The ET 1801 has advanced network monitoring tools and LAN/WAN statistics providing high quality services monitoring and troubleshooting: o Ping for monitoring of IP address connectivity o Trace Route for monitoring packets path within the tunnels o TCPdump for packet monitoring o Local and Remote LAN/WAN statistics logs o Debugs for network diagnostics and troubleshooting o NTP and NTP server for automatic Date/Time update o The ET 1801 features Restore-Last-Saved-Configuration, Restore-Factory-Configuration or can be firmware-updated via FTP. o The ET 1801 is supplied with a 6VDC external power supply adapter with US and EU plugs available.
