Happy Hearts playgroup has been busy supporting

CALD parents develop a deeper sense of belonging to

community through informal chats whilst the children

play and ‘munch and crunch’ on healthy snacks.

Yummy Tummies weekly sessions has seen CALD

families having fun exchanging food stories, recipes and

practical cooking experiences, visiting local

supermarkets and markets and sharing meals together.

Round Two Innovation Fund project in action How cool is the new playground artwork at Kendall Public School? Funded by the Healthy Communities Mid North Coast Innovation Fund, the playground artwork, has created a new outdoor learning space for the school. The new attraction combines physical activity and learning with children regularly seen playing on the artwork during classroom activities, recess and lunch. Students were actively involved in the planning stages of this project, and they look very happy with the results.
