This Monday, October 22nd we will be serving dinner at CFUM (Children and Family Urban Ministries). The Supper Club provides an evening meal for 110-180 adults and children Monday-Friday and 40-60 adults and children on Saturday. Many of the guests at the meal are among the growing number of the working poor. The meal is provided by local congregations, service clubs and faithful volunteers. Opening at 4:30 p.m. Mon-Sat., the meal is served from 4:45-5:30 pm. I am proud to say that our club has volunteered at The Supper Club every other month for the last nine years! Another dinner service project, “Supper at the YMCA,” has been suspended for the last few months because both management employees have been on maternity leave. Our club will resume service at this project when it resumes in the near the future. Please consider giving your time to one of these worthy projects. If you would like to volunteer, please sign up on Club Runner or contact Larry Sample.
