Wednesday - December 29 (Dinner) Today we board a flight for sunny California where we will be whisked away to nearby Irvine. We’ll check into the lovely Hotel Irvine for four nights. In addition to comfortable rooms, the hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi, outdoor pool, 24-hour fitness center, dining options and a lounge. Get settled in your room and explore the property. We’ll enjoy a delightful Welcome Dinner at the hotel.

Thursday - December 30 (Breakfast, Lunch) Experience a special preview of the Rose Parade as we tour one of the float building barns to watch the finishing touches being added to the floats. All floats are required to be covered in plant material. Hundreds of volunteers snip, glue and climb scaffolding to place each petal, frond, grass and seed into their work of art. It takes 60 people working 10 hours a day for 10 days to decorate one float and approximately 30 roses to cover one square foot. Lunch will be at the exclusive Lawry’s The Prime Rib, where warm hospitality, exceptional service and award-winning food have made Lawry’s a dining legend since 1938. Next, we’ll visit the new Academy Museum, the world’s premier institution dedicated to the art, science, history and celebration of cinematography. The permanent and rotating exhibits will provide a fascinating experience for us to explore the cultural and creative contributions that the film industry has made around the world. The evening is at your leisure with a free shuttle to Irvine Spectrum, a shopping, dining and entertainment complex.

Friday - December 31 (Breakfast, Dinner) Today we are headed to Warner Brothers Studios for a VIP tram tour. Our knowledgeable guide will take us behind the scenes of the world's busiest studio to show us where and how they create some of the most memorable moments in movies and television. Visit the backlots which have been the exterior sets for classic films and TV shows such as Casablanca, Batman, Friends and more. The Prop Department is home to costumes, props and other film treasures. This afternoon we’ll stop at Universal CityWalk, a three-block, pedestrian center where you will find a variety of lunch options and shops to visit. Be on watch for iconic sites during our driving tour through Hollywood. We’ll stop at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, located on the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame. From here, we’ll have an excellent view of the world-famous Hollywood sign, which stands 45 feet tall and is 350 feet long. This evening we’ll ring in the New Year with elegant dining, dancing to a live band, and trying our luck at a mock Monte Carlo-style casino. There will be party hats and favors, a drawing for exciting prizes, and a champagne toast to welcome 2022!

Saturday - January 1 (Breakfast, Lunch) HAPPY NEW YEAR! An early morning breakfast is included at the hotel and then we’re off to Pasadena for the “parade of all parades.” Take your reserved premium grandstand seat along Colorado Boulevard to view the 133rd Tournament of Roses Parade. Enjoy the spectacular floats, marching bands, equestrian units, and a variety of other performers featured in this spectacular event. A souvenir program and stadium blanket are included. After the parade, we’ll return to the hotel for a special Southern California Backyard BBQ. Following lunch, the afternoon is free for you to enjoy the hotel’s amenities and relax. We will gather tonight for a special Movie Night Under the Stars in the hotel’s backyard. You can pick up a picnic dinner and a bottle of wine a the hotel’s Marketplace. Each guest will have a $10 credit at the snack bar for popcorn, beverages and other treats.

Sunday - January 2 (Breakfast) This morning we will return to Pasadena for the “Showcase of Floats” giving us a unique opportunity to examine the intricate work of the beautiful Rose Parade floats. Walk within feet of the floral and animated masterpieces, smell the blossoms and observe how various live plants and other organic materials are incorporated into these elaborate works of art for the parade. Tournament volunteers will be on hand with helpful information about the float process. Too soon the time has come to head to the airport. We board our flight home having made new friends and wonderful memories to last a lifetime!
