OUTDOOR SECTION & BASEFRAME

Easy handlingLifting holes designed to avoid damaging of the unit during transportation. Unit’s robust structure also minimizes the need for packaging, reducing on-site waste after installation.

High efficiency scroll compressors in tandemDelivers high performance in part load thanks to capacity modulation. Capable of meeting future EcoDesign regulations, with SEER up to 3.5.

Easy-access panelsCan be removed easily using a common turn-key (no screws!). Prevents corrosion and missing components after service.

Dual refrigeration circuitOn top of improving capacity modulation and increasing part load efficiency, having two circuits also maximizes reliability by providing system redundancy

Electronic Expansion Valve (EEV)Thanks to its tight control and ability to operate at a lower condensing pressure, the EEV creates additional opportunities for energy savings.

Quick adaptAirfinity units are ideal for replacement jobs thanks to their compatibility with multiple roofcurbs (Trane and non-Trane)

Key Features

EC Plug FanCompact, quiet and more efficient compared to traditional axial fans. Rail system for easy access and maintenance.

Economizer with intelligent controlProvided as standard with every Airfinity™ unit, the economizer permits free cooling when conditions are favorable, saving up to 20% on annual energy consumption.

Embedded control solutionsTrane controller with embedded energy saving functionalities. Centralized control panel for easy access and service. Remote service terminal provided as an option.

High QualityAir FiltrationTwo rails for wide range of filtration up to F9, capable of meeting local regulations

Energy Savings

Fresh Air & Free Cooling

Thanks to the Economizer, provided as standard on all Airfinity™ units, you can take full advantage of outdoor conditions while utilizing fresh air, in order to reduce your operating costs.

ModBus-driventechnology for easy integrationinto BMS

• Adjustable minimum fresh air %or• Intelligent fresh air management (Free Cooling)

• Dry Bulb Control (∆°C)or• Enthalpy control (∆kJ/kg)or

• Demand ventilation control, based on:• CO2 level in the room• Occupied/Unoccupied mode• Morning warm-up• Etc.

PL Eff% = Up to 15% gain

Efficiency Gain

-10dB

Lower Noise 95% of time

• Prevent cold shower effect• Less air stratification when using

auxiliary heat• No rubber dust due to Belt wearing• Limited vibrations• Airflow setting on front panel for quick

start-up and commissioning• Reduced starting amps (compliant

with textile ducts)• Lower weight / lower installation cost

Comfort& Reliability

Modulating Airflow

For a typical retail application, your rooftop unit will run in part load more than 95% of the time.

That’s why we integrated EC plug fans with modulating airflow as a standard on all Airfinity™ units, so that you can maximize comfort and efficiency… especially at part load conditions!

MODULE

Principle

Trane’s Heat Recovery Module (HRM) utilizes the enthalpy wheel, thanks to its capability to transfer both sensible heat and moisture. While the wheel rotates through the two air streams, it absorbs sensible heat and moisture from the hot, humid air stream and releases it into the cooler, drier air stream.
