15th Annual Western States CATRonald McDonald House Charities of Idaho Sporting Clays Tournament

Sporting Clays is the closest thing to actual field shooting of all shotgun sports. Rather than having clay birds thrown from standardized distances and angles as with skeet or trap, sporting clays courses are designed to simulate the hunting of ducks,

pheasants, other upland birds, and even rabbits.

Sporting Clays is often referred to as golf with a shotgun. Like golf courses, no two sporting clays courses are alike, terrain and background have a lot to do with how

targets are presented. Targets may be thrown from literally any angle or distance to

simulate wingshooting.

Idaho

For 30 years, Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Idaho has provided a safe, comfortable place to stay at the Idaho Ronald McDonald House for more than 11,000 families whose children are hospitalized or receiving treatment for an illness or injury. The generosity of the community helps keep families together and near the medical care their children need. All proceeds from this event are used locally to support RMHC of Idaho programs.

You can help by being involved in the 15th Annual Western States CAT Sporting Clays Tournament fundraiser at Black Dog Clays in Boise. Sign up to participate as a sponsor, individual shooter, auction/prize donor, or volunteer.

You can choose to participate Friday, Saturday, or both days. Friday shooters have the opportunity to shoot again Saturday for a re-entry fee. Your ammo and targets are included.

The Tournament is a 100 bird NSCA registered event with 6-person squads. NSCA membership not required to participate.

Friday, June 1 · Shotgun start at 2:30pm · Lunch, registration, side games and silent auction begin at 11:30am

Saturday, June 2 · First squad begins at 8:00am and the last at 2:30pm · Registration, side games and silent auction begin at 7:00am · Lunch will be available from 10:30am to 1:30pm

· Trophies for High Overall and 1st Runner-Up will be presented after all scores have been posted

Side Games The games are a great way to warm up before the Tournament and fun for a friendly contest between teammates and friends.

· Game 1: Chance to Win a Shotgun $20 for 10 targets gets one entry into the drawing plus an additional entry for each target hit! You will be shooting with the actual prize gun.

· Game 2: Two-Person Team Flurry $20 per team for 20 targets ($10 per person per game). You aren’t limited to one partner, mix it up and shoot games with different people.

Silent Auction New this year, we will be utilizing mobile bidding for our silent auction. You’ll be able to bid on items anytime during the Tournament whether you’re at the range or not.
