School Council Newsletter Message from our School Council Chairs It is with a heavy heart that we share the sad news about the passing of Shirley Haber, School Council Chair, volunteer and mother of 4 children. Shirley was instrumental in supporting our school on various committees and she was an outstanding School Council Chair who leaves behind a legacy of amazing contributions to our school. Shirley ran our Pizza Lunch program as well as volunteered on the School Opening Committee, Fundraising Committee, Graduation Committee and was the Co- Chair of our School Council for the past 2 years. Throughout our school, we can see the many valuable contributions she left behind as a result of her unwavering commitment to our school community. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers during these very challenging times. Council Meeting Our first School Council meeting took place on Monday, September 26th during which the School Council members were acclaimed. We value the involvement of our parents/guardians and appreciate all contributions being made to support our school. School Council Meeting Dates Our next School Council Meetings are: October 23 November 14 January 24 February 26 April 18 June 14 All meetings start at 7pm in the library. Everyone is welcome! One Time Donation Fundraiser

Information has been sent

home regarding our Donation

Fundraiser that we will

launch to support our

fundraising goals. Money

raised will be used towards

purchasing resources,

subsidizing activities and

special presentations. Our

school has seen tremendous

growth since opening two

years ago. With such growth

is the need to enhance our

resources for all grades.

This year’s Donation

Fundraiser will be available

through Cash on line. Parents

will be able to instantly get a

tax receipt. During the two-

week campaign ending

October 20th, students will

have opportunities to win

some wonderful prizes.

Once again, we thank our

Fundraising Committee for

coordinating this. All money

raised will be used to support

programming and activities for

our students.

raised will go directly to

support student learning and

experiences.

We are looking for parent

year’s Fund Fair.

If we do not get volunteers,

there will be no Fun Fair.
